Powdery White Mildew or Sugar?? Help!!!!

Please let me know what you guys think! This is on my Green Crack X TrainWreck plant, My partner says this is just a lot of sugar and I say it looks like PM mixed w/sugar. What do you more experienced guys think? Did we screw the pooch? God I hope not....

Yeah definitely looking like more than just sugar/trichs there, doesn't look right. You can still hash it to be safe or run it through an H2O2 bath...

The focus isn't great, but my bud's never looked like that when I'm checking trichs. I think it's more than just "sugary" buds.

Looks like youve got a few trichomes mixed in with that powdery mildew my friend. You can wash off the fruiting bodies but the p.m is still on and in your plant. You will be smoking mold regardless of how well you clean it. People do smoke it....... I would toss it and start over personally.

Well dude. I just had my first grow and it had PM. It was VERY easy to tell apart the PM from the trichomes. I mean especially since it hit way before flower. HOWEVER. I've had two very tiny outbreaks of powdery mildew during the end of this flower. And i have trichomes extending far out into the sugar leaf, when the PM hit, it was literally a circular blotch of white shit. It was instantly recognizable that it was not trichomes because its almost like if you took that area of trichomes, multiplied it by two, and then stacked all those trichomes back together so its like a realllly thick dense of trichomes. It just doesnt happen though.

I always clip any leaf that has those blotches. I honestly cannot tell if yours is PM or trichs. Did it suddenly develop trichs or was it just an outbreak of PM right? Just try smudging it with your finger.. Pm is sort of hairy and it compresses and looks weird when you squishes. Trichs arent affected as much by some finger play. Your buds look hella weird compared to mine though.. I have like a nice even and consistent distribution of trichs.

Here are two pics of my nugs, and these pics dont do em justice ,but they are verrrry nicely frosted. The trichs extend pretty far out, and if there was PM on it, you would legit see a WHITE ass spot.


Honestly dont know if yours is PM or trichs.. but it sort of looks more like PM to be honest, especially with how it just suddenly ends towards the end of the leaf.

This is definatly pm, the fact that it looks like floured sugar right where the leaf meets the budd is your indication, due to the fact that this will be your darkest part of the flower when it's still on the plant

DDC it`s definitely powdery mildew.

You can tell for sure in the trichome close up pics where the pm shows sharp angles going from trich to trich.

Heartbreaking but that`s what you`ve got - now you have to decide how you`re going to deal with it. How far from harvest are you, you might do with a foliar spray to start.

You can do a post harvest bath in hydrogen peroxide or better yet Dr Zymes Eliminator. 15 minutes and most of your PM will be gone.
