Powdery Mildew Suggestions

I *think* I have PM on one of my plants. I think picked it up from a friend whos plants I have been watching. I gave him the plants but I guess he had his timer set so all the lights and fans and everything turned off at night. Smh.


My affected plant is a big girl thats been vegging and training for a while and I would be sad to lose her. I was going to flip last weekend but then found a few spots. Its never been more than a few leaves and just a few spots.


I have tried a spray of silica(protekt) and h202 with a drop of dish soap but it keeps popping back up in a few spots.

I am debating nuking this plant as I have other tents with autos that are doing ok right now but i dont want that to change. But I have grown attached This plant over the last 2 months and I would hate to kill it. This is the first plant Ive spent a lot of time training out.

I have wettable sulphur and potassium bicarbonate both on the way too and they should be here Tuesday.

If I do nuke it what would be the best procedure for the tent? Its like a month old and I moved this plant into it mid veg so Id rather not trash the tent.

If it was my plant, I'd likely choose phosphorous acid buffered with KOH, I think it may sometimes be called something like phosphite. Whether it's legal to use is a different matter.

Based on a quick search it doesnt look like that is available in my area so I am guessing not legal!

Any other suggestions?

That says regalia is pretty effective and also available on Amazon. I guess i shall spend the money.

And I just want to check this will actually kill it? I won't have to do any Bud washes or anything at the end of harvest?

Because I have read verying things on whether or not the mildew is systemic to the whole plant.

Phosphoric ACID is pH down, potassium HYDROXIDE is pH up. What do you mean acid buffered with hydroxide?

1 part milk to 8 parts water.. mix and put in sprayer.. i spary it on at dusk .. they suggest you spray it when the plants are in the sun..
So i do it just as the sun is fading so is not to possibly burn the leaves..

Milk works .. no joke
It may take a couple times to get it all depending on how bad its..

It normally wipes it off with one application for me..
It does leave residue but is easly removed with a spray of water..

I mean mix the acid with the KOH to get near a neutral pH. Mixing them together can be energetic and it puts off a lot of heat.

I did not write phosphoric acid (H3PO4), phosphorous acid (H3PO3) is a similar but different chemical with fungicidal properties! It's used for root rot in certain food crops, among other uses.

Ive never seen this.. cool deal.. ive been reading here and there about the use of citric acid but never gave it much thought..
Maybe ill pick some up..

I have a kilo of oure citric acid up stairs. Might give that a shot in rotation with milk and the sulphur for a week or 2

By the time the 0m gets cure she gonna be too big for my tent!

If its not cured by the end of the month shell get the gallows i guess.

You can mix your own. There are commercial products though so that's what I recommend. Mixed in too strong of a concentration and you can cause damage to the leaves. I've been using citric acid for years.

Yeah thats pretty much all you can do.. super clean the room your tents in and remove the plants and bleach the tent and fans.. if you are real anal clean/bleach the ventilation ducts..lol..

Guess thats what Ill do, maybe not the ducts tho lol.
I think ima keep running autos for a while too as theyre supposed to be more resistant. And maybe ill just give this plant to the friend who gave me the pm. Maybe that was his plan all along anyway.....
