Hey all,
This is my second time trying to grow aeroponically, and I am running into the same issue I ran into a few months ago. My water tubes fill with a white powdery substance which then also collects on the growing medium. The dude that owns the hydroponics store in my area gave me a funny look when I described this issue to him and told me it is just salt build up.
I left it and lost the crop... so I do not think it is salt of any kind.
BUT: I added a bit of Seranade (fungicide) to the solution when I found the same issue this time and the white powder was gone within an hour. Of course... now I have to change my nutrient solution. Any ideas? Help? Something I can add to the nutrient solution that wont harm the plants but will keep the mildew at bay?
thanks for any help.
