Potpimp's 99 Bean Grow

Another boring pic. This is of the three main colas from my bubba kush that I chopped and trimmed tonight.

Looks like some killer smoke

I just took the buds out of the dryer this morning and manicured them. I had just a tad over 3 oz dry, all Hindu Kush. I had to string another line in the spare bedroom, mainly because in another 10 days I'll be chopping the 3 SLH and the little SLH's in the hydro (God they smell amazing and look like they are dusted with sugar!!). That will be about 12 hours of trimming. I have a little bit left on the lines now and another batch in the dryer that I just put in there this morning that will go two more days. It's amazing how big a bag a full oz of this stuff is. I trimmed it super close, almost no sweet leaf at all. I should have some killer bubble hash too, when it's all said and done.

Ah, that looks sweet man. Sounds like some trainwreck I grew, took a big bag to put an OZ in.
I'm making room to cut my Bubba soon too. Santa Cruz OG kush is about done drying. 'Tis the Time to harvest the Kush!

OK, all I have left is three 6' super lemon haze and 6 small clones that went direct from cloner to 12/12. One of my big plants has a spider mite infestation. I will be chopping everything this coming Monday, ready or not. I'll take and upload pix. The stalks can't even support the colas! That's a great problem to have.

Just for giggles I took some shots of them today. I discovered that I have a significant spider mite infestation so I put on a respirator and bombed the crap out of the little bastards. I held the bomb can in my hand and sprayed it until empty. I did two full cans like that then I let it sit for about half an hour. I am taking them out, one by one, and washing off the spider mites, their turds and webs and the insecticide. I have one of the plants outside drying out; it bends all the way over with it being wet. I can only imagine what these would look like out in the rain.

If you look closely you can see the leaves with the tiny little spots that the spider mites make, as well as the little webs. We have lots of spiders here so I thought it was just a harmless spider making an occasional web. Man you sure gotta watch this stuff.

Yeah, I know it was a radical thing to do but the little fukkers just grossed me out and I had to get them off. I had to use bungee cords to support the plants for the next two days; they never recovered from the wetting - but then the colas were heavy and the stalks were not too thick. No damage done and no spider mites to smoke.

I've had a heater going and the ceiling fan running in the spare bedroom where the bud is strung up. I manicured another 88 grams of dried bud this morning with the biggest stuff still drying. Looks like I'm going to be right down to the wire on those but that was the plan.

I should have taken more pix I guess but when I look at pros like FDD and Cruiser it makes my little grow look pitiful and I'm almost ashamed to post pix. But I guess anytime you can grow more weed than you can smoke in a year it's all good and I'm way beyond what I can smoke in a year for sure.

Next year things are going to be much different. I'm moving to California!!! Yes indeed folks, screw this Georgia heat, the cops, the damn helicopters and drug spotting planes, the broke-ass "friends" and fakers. I can assure you that Potpimp's 2011 grow will be something special. I may not get a chance to post any more photos here; we're up to our ears in packing and are pulling out in a couple of days, but I can probably squeeze in a smoke report or something.

One last pic, the very last bowl-o-bud that I manicured this morning, 81g - 3 oz exactly. Not a commercial haul by any stretch but enough to keep me and my friends and family in great smoke til the next grow comes in. I also took all my trim and popcorn buds and made bubble hash yesterday; I got 8 grams from that, considerably less than I was expecting but whatever.

Well folks, today is my last day to pack our things up; we're loading the truck tomorrow and moving to California!! We are totally stoked about this. My mind is just racing with so much excitement that I can hardly sleep. If either of the 4 people following this thread live there and need help trimming, just let me know; I can use the work.

Wasn't around for this threads development, out of the 99 planted how many made it to harvest and what was total yield?

I didn't really keep up with any of the numbers. My best guess would be about 50 of the autoflowers, 6 super lemon haze, 2 Maui wowi, 2 Hindu kush, 1 Bubba kush, and 1 Power kush. I lost maybe a dozen or so from damping off when they were about 3" tall. It happens. Oh, and there were 6 small super lemon haze that I grew from clones that went from the cloner to 12/12. I have no idea what the yield was but it wasn't nearly what I expected. The only autoflowers I will be doing in the near future are the Iranians; I want to give that a shot. I'm also going to do some indicas; the sativas just don't give the weight I am looking for and people don't want to pay for premium bud here. So I'll be enjoying the heck out of my super lemon haze, the Maui wowi and the others.

Hey, what strain was your plant in the cfl experiment? An autoflower?

Read all of the pages Potpimp. Keep up the good work.

That was Rastadreds grow; I don't do CFL's; they put out "dirty" energy. I've tried them but I don't like them. I've got HPS, T5's and LED's; they all work great for their respective jobs.

Smoke report was post #198 & 199 for the Maui Wowi and Super Lemon Haze. I didn't do one for the kushes because they weren't anything to write home about really. They had not been cured so it was like smoking hay and pine needles. The high was ok but not happy like the SLH or MW. It took longer to get off and didn't last as long. Also, it didn't really help me sleep. So I won't be growing kush again, not for my needs anyway. I'm hoping it will improve and I'm sure it will a little but I'm in the middle of a cross-country move so I can't do a real focused smoke report on it for now. Hopefully that will change very soon.

nice! im about to start growing SLH as soon as it gets here...thats too bad about the kush man im the same way i need a nice stone high to fall asleep too good to kno about the kush! i read the other smoke reports...i excited to grow these next few strains!


ps how long be4 u set up again? i aint rushin just curious and itchin to see the next grow
