Potential of Industrial Hemp Industry

Everyone knows about the benefits of medical and recreational marijuana use, but i think something that is not getting enough attention is the Hemp industry. There are so many uses of the cannabis plant that people just don't talk about. For instance cannabis can be used to make paper, clothing, insulation for housing, shingles for housing, paneling in cars, glass and many more. MY question is this: Does industrial hemp have the ability to create a substantial industry and job market to make a difference in our current economy?

Heck yes they do. Think about it. A plant capable to contribute to all of those industries in one? We have limited supplies in some resources, but this plant can be used and grown again without using our resources we do need. However, the people that have the power to make a difference are too busy making themselves richer.

you are leaving out things like the frames of cars/trains/planes/boats - the frames of houses - fuel for combustion engines - plastic - food for animals - food for humans - biomass energy

If there is evidence such as this, why is it that there is still so much argument against legalization. If the general public new more about industrial hemp and its benefits there would be no argument. How can we educate the public about this? A plant as versatile as Cannabis needs to be used and people need to here what Jack Herer is saying.

yes, the problem is that the opponents are not simply the educated populace - it is the oil concerns who also have ties to the pharmaceutical, tobacco, alcohol, prison and insurance industries who spend vast amounts of money to keep the lies in place.

is the any sort of national marijuana agency that could possibly sponsor an educational add? The most important thing i feel is that we inform as many people as possible of the benefits of industrial hemp and marijuana as possible

NORML and MPP do what they can like billboards and radio ads etc.. i think that a nationwide tv spot would be too expensive for them though..
