Potassium nitrate

I was really into pyrotechnics around 2 years ago, but had to stop for either reasons. I have around 5 lbs of potassium nitrate and I was wondering if I could use this as a fertilizer? If so, what would the ratio of kno3 to water be? Would my 19 day old plant be old enough to feed kno3?

absolutely!! cut paste from wiki;

When used by itself as a fertilizer, it has an NPK rating of 13-0-38 (indicating 13.9%, 0%, and 38.7% of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, by mass, respectively).

i wouldnt use it right now on your plants... thats about a 1/0/3 ratio, not really what you are lookiing for in veg stage... also gonna have to be careful as its a fairly hot fertilizer

Awesome, thanks. When would be the appropriate time to start using it? Also, would you happen to know how much kno3 to water I should use? I'm guessing around .5g per one gallon of water?
