pot size for mother plants

Whats the smallest pot size that i can keep mother plants in? I have a small cabinet that id like to keep two small mothers in. I won't be needing a lot of clones so they won't need to be too big, but I'm aware that i may need to trim them even when i dont need clone. I have a 32"x32" tent that is going to be set up for a flower tent. My plan is to have 3-4 plants in there at a time with a steady flower rotation to try and keep the gf and myself stocked up.

Ive seen a bonsai thread and he has a bunch of mother plants that he keeps small. Id like to have a set up similar to that at some point. The final pot that he puts the mother plant in is a liter pot but I've googled square pots and the only sizes I've seen were sized in inches. Id like to get square pots so that I'm saving space but I'm unsure on which size pot will be best for me to use.

What size is the area for the mother plants,?
What type of light are using for them?

Right now it's about 30" high x 36"wide and about 12" deep. I plan on getting a bigger cabinet for the mothers and to veg them longer. I think what I have now is too small for what I want but I'm thinking it might work. Especially if I cut the bottom out completely or to just insert the pots through.
I have CFLs in there right now. 2 150w and 1 100w. I'm not sure of the actual watts because I've had them forever. From a grow years ago. I'm just looking for what will work right now until I can find the right sized cabinet that I'm happy with. When I get that I'll probably upgrade to a LED for the space

I'm looking to keep the plant as small as possible at least for right now. Do you think a 4" square pot is big enough? I might even swap out the mother plant every time I take a clone. I'm not sure if that would be better?

18 gallon rubbermaid...put 4 strains in the same soil...buy a 2x2 T5 light and a small fan

In flower just fit a home made 32x32 box...line it with 6 mil visqueen/with drain pan...put your soil and plants in 1 container...I leave the door open lights on and a fan on 24/7
Don't forget to install 6x6 netting each 10" to hold up the buds

There's a few ways to do it.
This plant is under 54 watts of COB.
My max height is 42" .
Plant + pot is 14" tall, so plenty of room to grow
This time I shall take another batch of clones from this plant, veg it another couple of weeks - it's in a 7 litre 'Sankey' pot at moment- then I'll chop my plants in flower and put the mother in flower area in a big pot , veg a week till it bites in and flower.
Meanwhile the clones are rooting for 2 weeks, transplanted into 3" pots then 5-6" pots then 7-10 litre pots, keep 1 for cloning and the cycle goes on.
Easy enough to keep a plant short by tying down, pinching the tops or bending stems.
As you can see in 3rd pic I split the stem in middle so I taped it up.20170104_184611.jpg 20170104_184655.jpg 20170104_184718.jpg
