Im on my first grow which is more of a learning experience than anything else. I'll post some pics when its done because some of you guys might find 12/12 from seed inside a computer case with a 70watt hps kinda interesting. Its a good thing I started with some bagseed cuz ive run into my fair share of problems. I dont know what to expect from the potency because well first of all they could be from different bags of weed cuz i just keep my seeds all togather, but the big issue is that I pulled 29 seeds out of a quater oz (I got a good deal on it and I wanted seeds anyway so I wasnt too disapointed) and I know I missed at least a couple of them because I saw a few seed floating around in the bottle after I put the bud into my already strong tincture and topped of the bottle with more 151 (I smoked a couple bowls and it wasnt that good so I decided why not. Interestingly enough, my old stuff was so potent that it actually lost some of the potency when adding this shit and more 151). Anyway now that Ive gotten that out of the way. The herb that these seeds most likely came from already had a kind of particurly minty smell to them, so I wasnt supprised that these plants do, but they actually smell like mint not pot (at all) but what really wierd is that they also smell pretty strongly of bananas, wtf bananas?!? Is this normal? and what kind of potency do you think I could get out of them being mainly Indica, I dont expect it to be that amazing? and most importantly, how far away from the 70watt hps bulb should I keep the plants, I dont have a thermometer but its pretty cool in there considering I have 4 80mm case fans exhausting all the air.
fyi from my personal undocument experience and many others that have documented theirs, when building a computer (so most likely applicable to any small confined area), having all the fans keep cooler temps when they are exhausting the air than intake. Even if you have multiple fans, there will be lower temps at the sensors even when you have even one intake. Im not saying intake increas temps, they do help lower them just not as much as exhaust. Now I figure that the lower temps might mean more airflow (correct me if Im wrong on that part). Now this is directly applicable to me as I literally am growing in a computer case if you arent your mileage may differ, but I just thought Id throw that out there In case you guys might find that interesting.
