Possible transplanting accident

Alright, I have 2 plants that I had to transplant today, one was a week old, the other was a day or 2 younger. With the week old one there was some roots that were torn off, and the younger one seemed to keep all the roots attached, but the soil seperated when pulled from the container (the soil was wet). Is there any hope for them or anything I can do to help them? These are my friends plants, and I have know idea why he didn't wait longer before transplanting.

It just takes a green thumb. If you transplanted, be sure the soil was pressed down firmly enough to hold the roots and the plant in an upright position. Otherwise you have to be sure not to press the dirt too firmly to where the roots get crushed and lack oxygen.

Go go green thumb! Be sure to water once transplant is complete.
