Long time lurker on rollitup, spent hundreds of hours on the forum planning this room. Can't solve this problem though and it's killing me.
Elvis plants in a aeroflo 36
-600w hps with 8" fan pulling through
-ph is awlays 5.7-6.2
-room temp between 65-75
-gh nutes, flora series at about 75% of website directions( use liquid koolbloom and diamond nectar too)
-r/o water and the rez only gets to 75 degrees MAX

This always happens to me around week 5 or 6 in flower. Plants look perfect up until then and then all of a sudden it slowly starts to die, mostly on top. Should have taken pics eearlier but I wasn't planning on posting :)...I orig. had 1000w lights and i thought they were burning the plants so I switched to the 600's. They are prob 3 feet away and well vented and the problem didn't get any better...(room stays pretty cool and if you put your hand over the plants you can feel almost no heat form the lights)

went through last turn around with less nutes too and pretty much the same thing...it usually slowly progresses a little worse than this and then you can tell the top colas stop growing. I've never seen any mites or webs either... occasional fruit fly though, not sure if they can do damage.

If anyone has some advice i'm all ears. Thanks for looking everyone

Thanks for the quick response Harley. Would a full flush be the only way to solve it? could i just take out half the res and fill with clean water?

Thanks guys! I just had my mind made up that the lights were burning them because the bottoms look much better...

As long as you have fresh nutes yes. Usually the plant does better with less then the recommended dose and with 10 percent veg nutes in flower.

Yes they are, I just changed the res yesterday. I already use about 75% of recommended dose, maybe I'll go down to 50% all the time or at least a week before this starts to happen. Gonna go get right on it now! Thanks again for the help! and now that i seem to be over my posting paranoia maybe i'll do a journal next haha

Your problem may be happening at the same time because they run out of nitrogen after five weeks with no veg nutes some use veg nutes for the first three weeks flower some 50/50 some use 25-10 percent veg nutes the whole time they do better with nitrogen.
