I was able to successfully rehydrate my weed with a minimum of effort.
Prior to rehydration, they were running as low a 33%. Very dry, and crumbly. I took a half sheet of paper towel, and folded it into a 2"x2" square. Placing it onto of the cannabis in the jar.
Then I took a second small piece of paper towel and folded it into a 1"x1" square, and soaked it, and squeezed as much water as I could. I then placed it directly on top of the dry paper towel, so nothing wet touched the weed. Resealed the jar, and in 12 hours perfectly hydrated.

Sure, it will absorb some moisture, just as piece of wood would, but unfortunately won't restart the curing process.
Also, double-check your hygrometer, those little guys are notoriously inaccurate.

This weed was just harvested 10 days ago, can you explain why it won't restart the curing process?
I looked at a few buds under my microscope, and their rich with cloudy and amber trichomes.

I'm not sure about that supposed fact I've had them dry to much and rehydrated to cure out fine. Maybe a little slower.
