Possible legal issue...need advice.

Ok so here is the story. I have a friend who grows, him and his fiance are splitting up, she moved to a different state, and they try to work things out via phone.

My friend catches her cheating, and she fly's off the handle with her the nice temper she has calls the cops, my friend leaves the scene before the cops show up. She says she has called the cops and told them everything about the grow op, which is pretty dang big in the 25 pound range every harvest. So my friend gets rid off all his plants, but leaves the grow equipment up and keeps his pot at a different location. She also by theory gave the names of anyone she knew included in the operation. And states she is doing everything she can to move foreward on this.

What can the law do if they only find grow equipment, and used soil ect...but no plants? Can they do much?

Should he take the lights down also, and move locations?

Move out of the state all together?

I'f the law looks into this they will find high electricity bills, but not much more.

Please give advice.

P.S. Remember only tell people you absolutly trust with your life or even better DONT TELL ANYONE ABOUT YOUR GROW.

I'd say your friend better get a lawyer and he should probably move if he ever wants to grow safely anymore.

Is it illegal to possess indoor grow equipment, soil, nutrients etc etc?

No.

So he has nothing to worry about.

However, they'll undoubtedly be watching his every movement and his friends and associates every movement for quite some time. It would be extremely unwise for him to start growing weed again in the same place.

If he does and gets caught - put him up for a Darwin Award.

I would get rid of everything and put it in an undiclosed location.

Trust me if the cops see all that grow equipment whos to say they will not survail him. If he can make it seem like shes just a jilted lover who was lieing about it just to screw an old boyfriend that would be optimal. and then yes get a new place under somone elses name if you plan to grow again.

the best thing to do is put a tomatoe plant under your hps now. if they were notified aand you were doing a 25 elbow harvest you should have the capitol to relocate and if your doing a 25 elbow harvest your bill is got to be in the 3000.00 per month range

seems like a common habbit. and if you visit said garden with cell phone they can track ya. once your on the radar you better take a time out.


As for the equiptment the laws vary from state to state but it is not against the law to posses lights times and such.

just like some places sell seeds for collectors.

on the other hand.... exs throw ridiculous accusations around all the time.

I would get rid of the lights and buy a cheap walmart gow light and put 2 little japanese maple trees under it since the leaves look like red pot....they will just think she is stupid. I would move too. Once the cops know you like that it just sucks and you take a big risk dealing there.

+1 on the tomatoes. Buy some that are already decent sized. Better safe than sorry.

What about finding soil with roots in it? Thanks for all the advice guys.
It seems like the best thing to do is move and grow under someone elses name correct? But certainly never grow in that house again right?

they could possible test the roots and consider it a plant, other than test, i'm not sure.

I'm having some drama here also.

I to have been discovered plus I think my son has been popped by unite who has just moved in.

So this is what I have done.

Pulled all my plants ( 4 small one's)

Put tomatoes and onions in my pots and act as if nothing has changed.

no guns rolling papers or pipes etc.. in the house all gone.

Some body gets close to my grow room I run them off. I don't do that any more is what I tell them.

Right now I'm setting up some place else and everybody thinks I grow here.
