Making some ISO..last batch turned out pretty decent but dark as hell. Nothing refined about it..lmao

Don't knock it, shit doesn't stone you to death but it sure does help. When I harvest my girl, I'll be making some better stuff.

Make a blast tube rosie. Five bucks ell do ya. Glass is better but a small pin hole in a tube of any kind ell get ya some bitchin bho. And its sooo good.

Like I said in the other thread, I make fine looking shatter some iso.

I use to do BHO but I get larger yields from iso, besides the fact that I can re run it for a lower quality dark oil, that still fks you up. Plus no heat or special vacuum chambers needed for purging. Simply allow the iso to evaporate naturally and you're good.

Only equipment you need for iso is the isopropyl itself, a Pyrex pan, a mason jar, a funnel, some coffee filters, and you're set. A fan will help speed along the evaporation process but isn't needed

I cooked mine. Just put on some boiling water, turned it down to 4 and put a plate on top. Then I shook my jar good, skipped filtering and poured it on the plate till the plate was full and set my timer. Turned out pretty awesome this time around, the last time I made too thin of a layer and was missing a lot of sediment.

I thought that was the best thing but Cat told me to skip that step and try it that way. It turned out much better this time :)

Yeah there is no need for heat when using iso. It might speed the evaporation process but it won't take out any more iso then if you let it sit by a fan.

And the heat will start to take away from your terpenes, won't be as tastey at the end. The product can also become unstable and give you a sticky, hard to work with, end product.

Yeah, I figured when I'm not in such a rush I'll do that next time. We put all our weed cash to an ounce of mids so I'm using the old alcohol from cleaning our steamrollers. Talk about some potent stuff..may not be first choice but it's better than no dank at all, right? :)

I've got MUCH more room at the new place and plenty of cabinets so slow evap is coming when I get settled after this weekend.

I've done countless variations with precise temperature controlling, and I didn't strike gold until I got rid of heat completely.

The qwiso king is a member of the forums, he has access to a large freezer where he can do the entire process in below freeze temperatures.

Only heat that should be apply is when you smoke it.

Any cooking off whatsoever is only hurting the product.

But you also said you are using used iso from cleaning pipes so it's full of resin and other things, besides the fact that there was no filtering.

So with all of that, I don't know what process would work best.

What I did probably..doesn't matter it works for now. I'll be doing like I said and slow drying next time.

Cat's on the way so I got to get up from here and get ready, still have all the rest of the furniture to get to the new place. Hope you have a great weekend bro! :D

Thanks man, I did!! Am deadbeat tired though, the enthusiasm is keeping me wired as hell, barely slept last night thinking of all I have to finish. The new house is great, we couldn't bee happier. Its amazing how much calmer I feel. Honestly I felt likes thee walls were closing in on me at the old place.

Got the one leafy girl, she is taking her sweet time (sat dom) will be Christmas at thee rate she is going. She's not even smeelling much yet.

Its cold as shit this a.m...32f with a high today oc 61f. Too cold to go outside and smoke!!!! lol
