Popping my growing cherry

I just watered my plant and took pics of it, it's a bit droopy but hopefully it'll perk up a bit.

I tried taking a pic of the stem but it's a bit dense in there, which makes it a bit hard to water with out getting some droplets on the leaves, and unfortunately I accidentally tore off a bit of leaf.

Hey looking good still. Not too droopy probably like you said from just being watered. I like to water mine in the middle of their night cycle personally, I find it stresses them the least but that's my preference.

Good work.

I usually water them an hour before their lights go off. I was actually thinking of doing it in it's night cycle, but I'm a bit uncomfortable at the moment to try that out, mostly because I'm a bit paranoid I might mess up some how. And then when I catch myself being a bit paranoid, I wonder if it's the medicine talking.

Yeah I know what you mean. According to everything I have ever learned and experienced, watering them with the lights on is much more likely to slightly stress out the root zone as compared to feeding with the lights off :joint:

EDIT: Watering them nearer towards when the lights come on makes more sense to me. Think of how at night, even if there is no rain, condensation will form in the early morning hours not too long from when the sun comes up.

Unfortunately they weren't medicalmarijane, which is why I pray every day to dozens of deities in hopes that it'll be female.
That does make a ton more sense jesse I guess next time i'll try it mid way threw the dark cycle when I get the nervs to.
And thanks Jay I love this plant and all the work and attention I've been giving it. This plant is a lot more satisfying to grow them most of my tree's, except for my pomegranate tree, because those things fuckin rule!

You're getting good results with what you're doing. Once it gets bigger however, and you are using more and more water to adequately saturate the roots, you may experience an even more pronounced droop.

I could be splitting hairs since I grow under HID light at 1000 watts, so it's much more of an issue for me personally than it may be for you. :leaf:

Welp, if she's not, you have to look at it as a learning experience. I will keep my fingers crossed for a girl too. maybe we need to pray to the baby gods?

Even if it's not a female, I'll be happy with the grow since this will be chalked up to learning experience, especially since this was a free seed. But I hope it is female, since this is a Big Bud cross, and those colas always seem freakin huge.
Anyways, here are more shots I took today before it's night cycle.

Quick pic really late night, but can anyone tell me how many nodes? I'm guessing 5, but I'm not sure, and this is the best pic I could get considering I was very freakin careful trying to gently move most of the foliage to the sides.

looks like about 5 to me. when are you planning to put her under 12/12 to see if she's female? i didn't do that with my plant, i just waited until she matured on her own. it look a long time lol. she was 2 feet tall+. My plant is lanky though, yours is cute and bushy.

I've been debating that for a while MMJ, I kind of want to force flower her, and I want it to get their on it's own. But I'll probably come around to that decision somewhere down the road.
Anyways here's more pics

do you have lights set up? when you flower you wil need quite a bit of light. You have to control to control the light to some extent because any more than 12 hours a day will keep her in veg. I wouldn't flower until she's quite a bit bigger because small plant = less buds. :) Some people are on limited space & small is good. plus small requires less feeding and fuss probably. I know if I were you, i'd be dying to find out the sex!

I am dying to find out the sex, but I'm also trying to practice patience, it's been hard, ever since I read that thread about 12/12 to seed, I wanted to do that, then I read a thread about topping, wanted to do that, then LSTing, wanted to do that. But when I saw my plant sprout, I decided to take it a bit easier at least for my first two grows so that I can get the hang of it. And I also want it to be a bit bigger before I flower. This has been a very complicated thing for me.

haha, try not to stress, thhings will work out. you have to remember, weed is a very hardy plant. you can abuse it and it will continue to grow. ffor me, the worst enemy is pests. outdoor is tough because they are everywhere and they want to destroy your crop. i think after you get the hang of it, you can top and LST but right now, I would stick with what you're doing. you need to learn the basics.

According to my count and 20-10, 20-10 vision, she is on her 7th node. If you have plenty of space, let her grow a couple more weeks before flowering, IMO.

She is looking great.

Good news everybody! Today as I entered my room, it had a distinct smell that we all know and love! While it wasn't a strong stink, it was there. Now on to other questions of mine. I understand that the plant doubles or triples in size whens it's in flowering, what I want to know is, will there be new growth and the nodes be as tightly grouped as they are now, or will the plant just stretch and fill out? Or will it be a combination of both?
