Ya, I bought a ph kit but it happened to be a soil testing kit instead of water so I'm not sure if it will work for the water as well. I don't really know if I need to buy a new one or if this one will be accurate for just plain distilled waterThe roots will regrow, might stunt the growth for a little bit but it should recover.
Your ph is a little high. Water with water ph to 5 the next couple times, should balance your ph to about 6. Just keep an eye on it.
Make sure you give them a good water after transplanting them
