Hi popped my AK seeds no probs, put them in some 1 inch rockwool cubes in a propergator, misted out they came looking fine, they now the tap root sticking right out the bottom of the cube, Is it time to put them in 3 inch cubes or do i wait for more roots? will the lamp damage the roots? the lamp is a 200 watt compact flouro. cheers

Sounds like you're on your way. Let some more root development take place before moving up to the larger RockWool. Your light should be OK.

Have you grown or smoked AK-47 before? Its a good yielder and the smoke is kick-ass. If you can grow out some Cindy-99 and cross a male with one of your AK-47 ladies, that would be killer too.

hi thanks for that Viredd..First time growing AK, smoked lots of it mmm..they will be my Second grow. first lot flowering now at end of week 5.My avatar is my fav little lady end of week 4.

Hi so ive had a little read up but im a little unclear. popped my ak seeds they all have come out of there cubes, now i know ive to transplant to 3 inch cubes soon as i have some root development. reading in here it seems i should keep a mother from seed not clone makes sense and mothers should be kept in soil i assume.

1, Is that ok to place a rockwool cube straight into a soil pot?
2, what kinda soil am i gonna use for my mothers?
3, would that not be ok to Veg them all, take cuttings put them in soil to flower early for sex, pull out the boys leave the girls, Keep the strongest lady clones for mothers?

thanks in advance for any help.

just found out apparently i can put rcokwool straight into soil :>) super!

yes you can stick them in soil. and yes grow a couple from seeds, take clones and flower them. then remove all the males and select the best phenotype of the bunch. i suggest foxfarm soils. but im a hydro person so i can tell you how to do from my own expirience. there are several recipes for soils in the forums though

Cheers for that sublime,
im a hydro man aswell nft so ill just whip the two best out the tank pot in soil hey presto! lovely job.
