it's not my fault Marxism's "philosophy" is so easy to bend and twist to conform to whatever shape the user desires.

thats why it comes in so many flavours.

and no, sociology is not marxist, but many marxists use sociology, and many sociologists are marxists.

I don't know if you've ever met a marxist, but the one's I've met are not people who bend the philosophy very much. If anything they're about as religious about it as voluntaryists. You have to realize Keynes, not everything is an evil Marxist plot, and most capitalists are not charitable people who intend on having the wealth "trickle down".

i know plenty of marxists, those who claim marxist as their title are doctrinaires about marx's assertions, and are extremely orthodox in their marxism

most other marxists have twisted the system created by marx to suit their own whim and have re-branded it as maoism, trotskyism, bolshevism, socialism, communism, anarchism, socialist democracy, democratic socialism, direct democracy, anarcho-_____ism, progressiveism and a hundred other labels, but their root remains the same, Marx and Engles.

applying a hundered No True Scotsman tests to these many factions doesnt change the nature of their goals, their rhetoric, or their underlying assumptions about economics, society or governance.

these assumptions all lead back to Marx and Engles, which in turn derive from the works of earlier collectivists, protocommunists, and yes, even the franciscan and jesuit orders who viewed the poor and underclasses as the means to elevate their organizations' failing fortunes.

curiously as you dig further back in history you will find that the entire "movement" started ~175 bc in rome, under the Brothers Gracchi. the very first Landau Liberals(tm).

So anything that's not a right wing or center right ideology is some form of Marxism that Marx purposely twisted so he could market the same ideology to different people? Do you seriously believe that? You would have to have next to no knowledge of the left to believe that, especially concerning the anarchists considering that they're the biggest critics of Marx out there. And to compare progressive ideas to Marxism is absurd. Marx used very strong, and very specific language when describing his ideas. He doesn't leave much room for compromise, which is exactly what the center left and left wing is based upon. The only ideologies that disavow compromise are those on the far left and the far right, such as Marxism, some Anarchists, and your usual right wing fascists.

The Kirchners have fucked up Argentina so badly that they are always trying to shift the blame for what is rapidly becoming a failed state. This cannot be the fault of the government, therefore it must be the fault of evil capitalists. Plenty of uneducated South American Catholics buy into that propaganda.

Historically, the Catholic church embraced fascist governments as the lesser of two evils compared to communist governments as the communists were hardcore atheists. Not to mention the fact that this church was financially supported by the fascists; Hitler tithed 10% of his income til death and to this very day, if you declare yourself a Catholic in Germany, your income is automatically docked by 10% for the tithe, by a law that dates to the 30s.

Nobody has to be an atheist to want to see these perverted fascist mendicants wiped off the face of the Earth...permanently.
