Pollinated too soon?

Does any one know what happns when a female has been pollinated too early. they were pollinated like right when they showed sex. they are starting to look real wierd, almost like a pinecone when its just being formed. i just dnt want to wait another 30 days only to find out i could have yanked them weeks sooner. any info is appreciated thanks.
 
seriously i dont think you can do any harm pollenating early. the way i know it is that each pistil will grow a seed in its place, this is where the pollen attaches to the plant. i dont know how many seeds you will get with it being do early. i usually pollenate at week 3-4, the longer the flowering time the later i do it. the seeds should take around 5 weeks to fully mature. dont quote me too much mate i,m still learning myself.

what are you breeding if you dont mind me asking chief?

i was just trying to make some simple F1 hybrids. purple kush x lemon skunk.. pk x white castle.. pk x La woman and pk x cheese. i was really aiming to get the hybrid of the la woman and the pk cause the the pk is a purp strain obv and the la woman pheno i got is real purple as well. so i figured theyd make some purple piffy buds. ill take some pics ina few and get them up here asap. thanks for the help
 
I done the same thing and didnt get much feedback either, I think you just get less seeds per branch i.e seed per pistil, im hoping they are fertile
 
ok so if anyone is still willing to try and help out heres some quick pics. some of them im not concerned about cause they have nice hearty bud production with a few signs of pods..wich is fine the long as its only a few. but the one lemon skunk and the one cheese look strange.the LS looks like its making grapes lol. the cheese dont even look like pot its like a cluster of small leaf tips that make up its "bud". wha u guys think??
 
thanks guys . the La womans and the white castle look like its still gna be nice amounts of great bud.i just hope i get at least a few seeds of the purple kush x LA. i just got some rez chemdog x sour d so im super excited about that. i got some free critical + seeds,any one know anythn about that strain?
 
Really shouldn't affect the plant at all, I have pollinated very early in the past just because the male was ready and had lots of other females around I didn't want having sex. I pollinted the lower branches and they finished up nicely and the rest of plant went about its cycle as if nothing else had happened.
 
Each bract that was pollinated will produce one seed, you can get a rough idea during pollination of a small flower by counting the stigmas on the flower and divide that number by 2 (as each bract should have two stigmas unless mutated or damaged) that will give you a good idea of the amount of seeds to expect even if the bracts are not visable in early stages As for too early, never tested at what point stigmas become viable to accept pollination, but I have seen successful pollination as early as one week into flower in the wild. Non pollinated flowers may continue to develop following pollination of other parts of the plant, may be slower than usual or may stop alltogether, but in the case it continues to grow you may be able to pollinate the same plant for a second time if you feel you need more seeds. 9 years late but hope this helps somebody out

that sour d.x.chem dawg from Rex is straight fire,.mostly chem Dom, super stinky and one of my.faves
