i was growing from clone (female). my partner was messing around with some seeds ,thought they were sexed and put a male in my flowering room. my crop was destroyed . i had added a few the day before and after i saw there was a male i took the new ones out put them back in veg , after spraying them down with water . i took clones from them and they took and look fine . my question is are pollenated females ok to take clones from and i scrubbed everything and built a new room for flowering . will pollen from that male be an issue in other parts of my house ?

The pollen will die before too long. It can last quite a while if refrigerated, but in a normal-temperature house, there may be a little bit that lives on for a month or so. I use a little bleach in some water, bleach will kill the pollen. Never took clones from a pollinated mother, so can't help you there. Sounds like an interesting experiment though.

Whats 'quite a while if refrigerated' ? And is freezing ok?

Seeds years, pollen months. The longer it goes, the smaller the viable percentage. Never tried freezing, as I think that'd be bad. Seeds can be frozen (but even then I bet it affects viability), but pollen is usually produced in the summer, and is likely not capable of surviving for long if the conditions are harsh (which freezing would cause). Soma's organic growing book says about 3 to 6 months for refrigerated pollen. Seeds can last for many years. I wouldn't count on the pollen being viable longer than one or two crops, basically. If you take it from crop A, harvest, then start crop B, it should be fine if you use it on crop B, if you keep it refrigerated.

Kinda sad that you can't store the pollen for decades, like a frozen male on ice anytime you want to fertilize a female.

my major question is are clones safe from a pollenated plant. i took a few after the male was identified , sprayed them down , put them back in veg and waited for new growth , cloned , them put them in flower . and im not sure but i would think that pollen was harmless to my other plants in veg
