pollen sacs vs. new growth

New grower here.

I'm having a hard time determining if my autoflower has shown sex or if the "little balls" I'm seeing are just new growth. The plants are small and not very old so I'm thinking it's just new flowers poppin'. Can new growth resemble the balls of a male plant?

Yes they can. Why worry at the moment? let them grow out a few days, and if those are balls, it will be pretty clear! Patience is the way
