Pollen Chuckers

Thought I would start a thread where we could put known breeder who are actually working their own strains. As most of us know the vast majority of breeders are guys who have gotten some elites and start throwing pollen at the girls with little or no knowledge on how to pick a male, no interest in growing their own gear, and they def. aren't taking their creations to the f3 and beyond level. I have found very few real breeders in today's world. But some that are worth checking out are:

BOG.. Bushy Old Grower.. been around a long time, doesn't advertise it but this guy works his strains to level unreached by most. Him and the wife are GOOD people. BOG is an intuitive breeder and it shows that he is surely tapped ....check him out..

Loompa Farms Not all lines but several from this Northern Cali coop have been worked to stable levels

I know there are more quality breeders out there; ones working with their own strains. Please feel free to add any known!

Mandala Seeds, high quality and sturdy plants. Mandala likes f1 crosses for hybrid vigor but they work the lines to give very uniform growth and quality...

Peak Seeds BC, great crosses and IBL's of old school genetics....

Man I've gotta check out Mandala because I'm on the same wavelength as you.

In LOVE with PeaskeedsBC and Dynasty. I've grown out almost everything from Peak except pure blueberry and texada crosses but only 1 strain from Dynasty, one of their less expensive offerings through Sannie's shop and it is straight fire!

@BustinScales510 heard that from a lot of folks... I have had a different experience with Loompa Farms. I have gone through 2 packs of Yeti f3, 2 pack of bx2 and found so many incredible phenos we were a bit taken a back. We narrowed it down to one that we could not live without and it is still in our garden today. I am currently going through some foodog will keep you posted. If the seeds were bought through the farm i suspect Logic had something to do with the problems... I got mine direct and have not seen similar issues.... The price is also a logic invention, I paid $100 dollars for 65 total loompa farm seeds... thats right $100

@BDOGKush BOG has been working his sourbubble and bogbubble for years, among other strains go check out his instagram or wherever.. and I mean years.... he has always worked with his own genetics (adding in other elites at times), and kept his prices at $50 pack (direct)..

loompa farms has taken the Yeti line to the f3 level and is continuing work with it. The moondawg line is also a work in project and currently at the f2 level (for sale)... Loompa farms grows all its own strains unlike SO MANY breeders today. ..

I am just sharing my experience, I have been on the forums since overgrow and am shocked in the last few years at all the hype breeders and breeders who were once in it to help people getting caught up in greed.. If we , the growers, can establish who is worth giving our hard earned money to , more power to us.

I have packs of the foodgs as well but been hesitant to grow them. Yes the yeti were from the farm but the foodogs are from firestax. The price gouging isnt totally restricted to logic though, they are still 175 at firestax which I think is or was the only other place besdes thcfarmer that they were available online.

@BustinScales510 i bet money you have better luck with the seeds from firestax, but I cannot confirm because have not dealt with them. I don't buy unless I can get it direct from breeder... that is me though. I have grown out Barefrog genetics, Loompa Farms, Bog, Woodhorse, motarebel all direct.. IMHO it is the only way you know you are getting what you pay for. I like to trust ppl but online seed/clone vendors are too far outside my comfort zone..

@D_Urbmon to put things in perspective for you... I had to go through 2 packs of motarebel yooper to find one plant that was a keeper. I went through 2 packs of Motarebel mackinaw trail without a single keeper, a pack of twisted fruit with nothing special found... Out of two f3 packs of yeti f3 I found 3 phenos that were distinct and incredible my keeper, a sour pheno (similiar to sour d, not aj's cut), and a pheno that was incredibly similar to triangle kush.. out of 20 seeds we saw the sour pheno come up 3 times with very slight variation (one more piney), we saw the "triangle" like pheno show up 2 times and our keeper only had one appearance. Out of the Yeti bx2 we only found 3 phenos but did not keep any as we are limited in michigan by the numbers game and I hold over 15 mother plants. This is what we define as "so many incredible phenos"...

do you have any recommendations?

Cool, good to know the specific strains and not just the breeder. I agree with everyone saying PeakseedsBC but wonder about Dynasty.

PeakseedsBC C99 is incredibly worked. I grew out 18 females and they were all nearly identical with exception to smell because half were from one father and half from another father(both dads from the previous filial generation). The Skunk Berry is also very uniform especially for being a f1 hybrid. Can't say this is "worked" as it's an F1, just a great genetic combination but I'd imagine there was great amount of care in selection and testing over the years. Out of the 7 Skunk Berry ladies I grew again, all nearly identical. The Skunk Berry bubble hash I made was probably top 3 strain specific high's of my life. Next to PeakseedsBC Sweet Skunk and Bodhi's Deep Line Alchemy #3.

Dynasty is very interesting in that they provide expected phenotype information in the strain description, usually 2 or 3 different phenos to be found. My one experience was just that. 2 phenos from 4 ladies. Pretty small sample size but I have multiple packs of some of their offerings which I'll be going through in the future to see if this holds true. From what I understand they also do selections from hundreds of plants, not like some "breeders"(chuckers) who do selections from 1 or 2 10 packs.

I tested 2 strains for Bodhi and both were quite uniform(2 phenos each) but it was single 10 packs so again can't really say as the sample size was really small. 5 ladies from each strain. I really have no clue what he puts into his breeding. I think it's just mostly f1's from proven dads but I really can't say.

But I'm just a smalltime personal basement grower from the prairies. When I say that I mean there is no thriving canna culture, no dispensaries, no strain specific shopping on the black market, no circulating cuts, no extracts.... catch my drift? So take it all with a grain of salt because what's good to me or "a keeper" may not meet the same qualifications to you. and TBH I've only ever done 1 run from clones I usually just pop beans. That being said out of the 2-300 beans I've grown over the past couple years there are only 2 individual plants that I am VERY SAD I don't have clones and mothers of. The rest were nice and smoked fine and would sell fine but 2 individuals were very special to me. I'd imagine those would qualify as keepers......... but I have been smoking cannabis for 20 years so I *think* I kind of have an idea. :D

Some of the other breeders I have grown - Next Generation, La Plata Labs, Serious Seeds, GHS, Delta 9 Labs. All just a few plants each can't comment on strain stability.

I haven't run Peaks blueberry but have seen some nice grow logs. The blueberry crosses such as NL x BB, SS x BB and Peaks Kush Berry are all very nice and potent... :) Also if you email MikeJ he may be taking pay pal now.

Thanks for the info. That's why I always come back here. I was going to go with bc bud depot for bb, now I know what's up. Those purple seedlings were the shit.
