Exactly.

First, they were asylum seekers, not 'illegals'.

Second, it wasn't closed, it was just for a day to house people during a winter storm:

It's just hate.

Also, if you need to pay $7000 extra in tax, you can likely afford it.
The use of the word “illegals” has explanatory power here.

the word “illegals” .
"Ihr sollt wissen, dass kein Mensch illegal ist. Das ist ein Widerspruch in sich. Menschen können schön sein oder noch schöner. Sie können gerecht sein oder ungerecht. Aber illegal? Wie kann ein Mensch illegal sein?" - Elie Wiesel (Romanian American writer and Auschwitz survivor)

No one is illegal. Actions are illegal, people are not.

I don't assume he is, I assume he's not bothered by the lack of proximity to the actual events on which so many like him created similar stories of faux outrage over the past month.
lol, he complained about conditions he can't have seen for himself and his argument blew up from two directions. He doesn't even live there and facts-based reports shred what he said to the point where it made me laugh.

He or somebody else will just repeat it again.

Using logic against a grievance filled plea to emotion. It's worth the effort just to set the record straight and (for me) seeing the counter argument in writing helps test the validity of a rebuttal. But for people like that they just get angry when they see libtards being woke. I can't see how this will end.

I drive around 30,000 miles a year. Gas in June 2020 was $2.30, in 2021 it was $3.30, in 2022 it was $5.80, in 2023 it was $4.30. Those are chicago gas prices. The increase to me was $9,288 since Biden took office. Say whatever you want, blame who you can justify in your head, but those are real costs. They hit the average person very hard. The rich don't care, but that fuel takes up a lot of income for average people.Screenshot_20240226_172741_Gallery.jpg

Food costs are way up. Blame whoever you want. Justify it any which way, the fact is they are up and the chunk out of a family budget for food hasn't been this high in over 30 years. All kinds of stuff everywhere to see that. Anyone who has done any shopping at all can feel it, even at Aldi the prices are up.Screenshot_20240226_172800_Gallery.jpg

Here you go, you need $88,494 in November of 2023 to buy the same stuff you could have bought in November 2020 for $75,000.

Anyone who doest think inflation has eaten into an average family, and worse for those with lower incomes, is just plain out of touch. Use your common sense. You can at least call the guy out on the stuff that has gone to shit under his watch. That's how it works, you fire the coach if you don't get results.Screenshot_20240226_172714_Gallery.jpg

You mean your wages has not increased since Trump's shit handling of the pandemic enough to offset those price gouging business inflating prices?

Last one, you all probably saw it, Biden showing how in tune with the black folk he is buys a black family some fried chicken. Here is the photo. He pulled tge same stunt at the same place when he was running in 2020..same meal costs 28% more now then when he ran. Was interesting someone pointed this out. No question shit is way way more money now, country is more divided than ever, if you live here you would see it. This guy is to blame for a ton of it.
