Second thought. "You have just steped into an $80,000 grow area. (whatever the potential is). Blackmarket sells claymores for $400 per. Do you feel lucky, Bitch?"

That reminds me. I heard of a guy the other day (maybe it was even on this board) who took a surplus claymore and painted the words "no trespassing" on it. I like that; I think I will steal his idea for my home.

With a warrant they can run that fence down with a tank if they so choose! Which they would not do since they would prolly just come in with a helicopter...but If these sounds expensive and they are feeling cheap maybe bolt cutters? I'm sure they have a pair. Pretty much what I'm trying to say is you could build a 2ft. thick 12 ft. high concrete wall with a palisade and a moat...If they have a warrant they are coming in. Also it's good to rotate crop locations and don't plant in lines or patterns, try to scatter 2-3 here and 2-3 there so that they look more natural from the air. Usually they spot outside grows because there are no tall trees 100ft+ around the plants. Grow in a ring of much taller trees that still breaks as close to 12 hrs of direct light a day. If the helicopters can cruise by and see lines of plants like a crop of corn...thats obviously not corn...They will then go lower on another pass or hover and practicly land to confirm it's mary j. If you don't walk on 1 trail or leave garbage outside or look up at them (easy to spot a face from the air), and do not plant in rows spirals or otherwise disturb alot of dirt around the plant so that they look "cared for" then you should be in the clear. When they can tell that someone is loving random plants out in the middle of the woods they tend to ask....why? And they are VERY curious! So don't arrouse any suspicions and you will have a very clear mind.

In some areas close to me that have helicopters that actually fly around and have some kind of camera that can detect mj plants that are out in the open...

I figure you will be fine if you notice anything weird or feel like somebody watching you I would leave them alone.

I'm sorry Guys. Yeah, this & that, Ghost, inflateable Spy Goats, etc,. Please correct me if I am off chord. As far as I, and the US Constitution, whether Fed or State, the Only barrier between the entering private property is Probable Cause. Valley Girls, spend 1,000 hours debating choppers, phone calls, my friends girl friend, etc. But the bottom line is Probable cause. Whether you are fucked or not fucked depends upon probable cause.
The Law fucked up, stumbled upon 5 or more lbs. of my shit. 2 to 10. The shit will get thrown out, plus Civil Action. But main thing is, understand Probable cause, Right to Privacy, and the requirements needed to meet the burden to show the wish to reserve your right to privacy.

To bring up the DNA thing again... If I piss around the plants to keep animals away, is there any chance the cops will take a soil sample and find my piss, or am I just being way too paranoid?

In my area they like to use those motion sensor cameras, the kind people use for wildlife. They monitor and then bust close to harvest. That's what i have read.

that sounds about right.
@ OP i can tell you now for a fact they warn no one! even the police who do the bust dont know where they are going to hit untill they have the brefing then its in to the vans and stright to the growers door and it gets put through usally 1st thing in the morning when you are still in bed. who ever told you the landlord gets warned before a bust is full of shit!

out side grows here if they find plants as the above post has said they will do a search for DNA joint ends at the location, finger prints ect and then put in the news or paper that if anyone knows any info to please contact them anonymously.
I have been raided before and rent from a family member who would have called me immediately. I GOT NO WARNING except increased bacon activity in the area.

This topic has been a great interest to me, and have studied it for awhile. All comments are welcome. #1. If somebody sneaks on my property & drops seeds, I can not be held accountable for something that I had no control over. However, they would CERTAINLY search my house, etc. If I am holding ANYTHING that is connected, seeds, grow ligh, roaches, matching footprints, a trail, etc. I'm busted. Point, if You're clean, you can grow on your property.
Why would the Cops call the Owner..... that's stupid, unless the Judge won't sign the warrant, and the law dogs needs permission to enter the property. With that, no warrant needed. Now, did the law ask permission with these phone calls? I think so. To stake out a grow, a LOT of cost is involved, lots of man hours, plus telltale signs, meals brought in, cars, radios, etc. It's not worth their while. Plus, if you can't tell a place is watched, something is wrong. If you are 100 feet way, or just a person walking through the woods is not guilty of shit. They have to catch you, literally harvesting, feeding, etc, before the case can be made. Cutting & hauling the shit may take as less than 10 minutes,... that's the only window they have to bust you, if there is no connection. As a hunter & ex-military, I can tell you that if you sit at night for 1 hour, downwind, to hear everything, you will know if you have visitors. No smoking, farting, coughing, total silence.
Indoor or backyard grows, they have your ass, because friends can't keep quite for 4 to 7 months. I read a lot about bust searching for "Monster Mariajuna Plants". Most times, they miss the grower. They usually only search during harvest time in Choppers. By that time, a conopy of vines could have covered, in part, your grows. Indirect lighting should never be underestimated. Just my take.
He told me that they said they were going in to execute a search warrant. That it was a suspected grow house and theyve been watching it for a while now. Yes and Please everyone keep them comments rollin!:bigjoint:

Please ask specifically if they requested permission, by way of suggesting this or that, or was it like The Grateful Dead "Well, if you got a warrant, may as well come on in."
"Going to ececute a warrant" and Writing Santa Clause means jack.

Probable cause gives them the right to a visual inspection, not an all out search. A search warrant is their free pass to totally fubar your house and everything you own until they are tired of looking for something not there or find what they want. Also a warrant has to be specific as to where they are looking and what they are looking for. After everything is said and done, you get a copy of the warrant to fight the case in court. If you are unlucky enough to catch a case then invest in a private investigator to backtrack the LEO's steps to make sure that they didn't take any shortcuts getting the warrant because if they do and its caught you may wind up beating the case but just losing your plants!!!

An ex-neighbor used to fly one of the helicopters searching for grows. He said normally they would wait until it would be near harvest time and then stake them out and when someone would come to harvest, or just wander by, they would come out of hiding and nab them. They wanted to bust the person when the crops were at their largest/biggest/fullest size so the weight they could be charged with would be as heavy as possible because that would equate to a much higher street value than if they busted someone earlier in the year with small plants.

Something that happened about two weeks ago to the son of one of my friends is he went for a walk in the woods with his dog. All of a sudden he was surrounded by cops of some sort, State DEA guys I believe my friend said. He had accidentally happened upon someone's patch. He managed to not get busted, after a great deal of talking and explaining and even a hair follicle test that showed no pot use within the period of time it would show up .. and something else that at least slightly helped was there was something of a path leading to the patch in nearly the opposite direction my friend's son came from.

That pretty much fits what my ex-neighbor said about how they will try to stake out grows near harvest time to bust the grower(s) when the yields will be the largest.

I have heard of other crops being taken at various times of the year, some fairly early, but in most cases those where when a property owner came across a grow on their property and called the cops rather than it being one spotted from the air.

I'm sure different states and different counties and different countries all have their own preferred procedures but around here, and up where my friend's son lives, it seems they try to nab you when they can charge you with the most impressive sounding charges and when it will make them look better in newspaper and TV and radio news reports about how they kept some massive amount of killer weed worth umpteen dollars off the playgrounds that it otherwise would have been sold to little kids on.
