Police Raided my house today. Didn't arrest me, what now?

I have my doctors recommendation in order and am not stealing power, basically they said I checked out and I can continue growing medical marijuana as long as I keep it within limits. I'm scared as shit right now. Am I under investigation? Are they going to come back and arrest me? Are my phones now tapped, were they tapped before? Anyone with any information, please let me know! Thank you.

...hope for the best, expect the worse. I would play it safe as possible, no talking on the phone, no business. Not in a legal area myself, I couldn't give you any accurate info. What were they doin in your house in the 1st place? ...just wonder'n.

Dont call anybody dont go anywhere suspicious.

They cant bust you for a legal grow so you should be ok although they may watch for drug traffic at your house or monitor for other illegal activity.

they claim someone called and complained about the smell, although I won't know for another 10 days or so until i get the report.

If they raided your house, the police should have issued you a warrant, and they should have issued it based on an affidavit establishing probable cause. Unless that affidavit is sealed, it is a public document, and you have a right to read it. That affidavit will give you information on WHY you were searched; it may be different than what they said to you.

I would go to the courthouse from where the warrant was issued and ask the clerk (or the judge that signed it) to see the affidavit. The docket number for the affidavit should be on the warrant.

nah i got scrubbers and ona gel, I live in a part of the city thats pretty well known for marijuana grow houses. I just pulled down a harvest so I would imagine maybe that smells, or we smoke weed a lot maybe it leaks out of the house and smells outside, I really wish i knew.

yeah they said i could grab it in 10 days, they also said if they were me to slap it on my rooms too. I mean they were pretty cool about the whole thing, didn't arrest me, didn't rip out any plants take my bongs or anything. But then again their cops and their job is to tell you whatever they want in order to get you to tell them shit.

thats why i say if your a legal grower always,,ALWAYS tell your neighboorsthat your a medical marijuana patiant and you grow in your back yard during the summer and indoor threw the winter, this way you will not get a surprise visitor. even tell your landlords. hell i did and all are ok with me and what i do..and if they are not ok with it then you know who to blame for the shit if and when it hits the fan

try to think like they do right now. they are kind of confused too. Medical marijuana is kind of new to them too, especially legal grows. If you are legit, no worries, but my concerns would be the following....

1. Am I know a known spot for rip offs to occur in the future?
2. If you were going to sell, don't

Chances are it was exactly what they said, smell, that lead them to your door. Take some time when you are not high and walk around your house and try to see where it is coming from. You might want to consider negative ion generators, at least one near your scrubber exhaust. Without getting into physics, odors are atoms that carry a positive charge and float about. When it contacts a negative ion, a neutron is exchanged and the odor atom changes polarity and attaches itself to a surface such as a wall or a shelf. From another source...

"Negative ion generators have been used for years now to cut down on odors in a grow room, but reports are coming in that a negative ion generator will increase growth speed and yield. No true evidence to support this, however it does make sense, due to the fact that people and animals seem to be altered in a positive way by negative ions in the air, so plants may "feel" better too. Try putting one in the marijuana growing room. You may notice the buds don't have as much scent when picked, but that may be desirable in some cases."

You can always remove ion generators from a grow room for last 2 weeks if an odor is desired on the bud.

ok, i saw what happened.

1st thing is this: someone called in and said it smelled like marijuana doesn't give the cop probable cause.

2nd: if you're legal and within limits, don't worry about it. if the neighbors don't like it, they can try to change the law. there's a few sherriffs who still tell their cops to confiscate legal shit, you weren't in that group so you're fine.

get a better carbon filter, and smoke a fatty cuz your legal....

and last thing is this: use your rights. whenever a cop goes into a house, they need to have a signed warrant, or established probable cause ...it's either there on the scene, or if it's an urgent case, it's next to the judge, being signed. but either way you have a right to see that warrant on the spot.

they can't tell you they have a warrant to search your house and not show it to you... what they can keep sealed for protection of witnesses etc. is the affidavit.... the warrant should be on the scene, and you get to read it....

your legal, but you don't have to give up your rights because a cop says that a neighbor called you in. that creates reasonable suspicion....

but you're cool... i don't think you should worry too much.... just don't sell weed, don't take weed out of your house.... good luck...

but yes the smell does give probable cause to search medical or not. being medical like he said they knew he was b4 they even came, they were prety much doing a compliance check, and all you medical patiants can expect a visit from your local law enforcment doing compliance checks. don't think for one minute they won't. so you better have your lotted amount.

I told the cops I was gonna get drunk after they left, the one suggested I do a strikeout, I told him after what happened today that the strikeout needs a new name. I can't sleep or eat, I'm super worried their going to come back and arrest me for something.

sounds like a neighbor called, and the police showed up to check it out, and you let them into your house to violate your rights. if they have a warrant they must have it with them AND show it to you before they enter (if you ask to see it!). if they have it and you dont let them in they will come in anyway. you will NEVER find out who made the complaint, they cant release that information. How would you like it if you called the cops on someone for whatever reason, and the cops then told them who exactly it was that called to complain?
