Mrgrow,
First off, I don't think anyone is telling you not to grow. You just have experianced people letting you know, from experiance, that 12 plants are hard to keep up with, let alone 80.
As for your question. A carbon scrubber removes particulates from the air (odor is a particulate), but smell can still penetrate. What many people also do is go to their local hydro store and buy a air freshner. It is like the glade kind that sprays every 15 minutes BUT IT DOESNT SPAY. It has a stone in it that is covered in oil and it blows a fan by it. HAng it by the door to the grow room, and the door to your house. That way your crop doesn't get contaminated. Ionic filters are bad on a couple levels. It may help remove the smell, but it also can do harm.
If you plan to grow 60-80 plants in a concealed building, it will still smell. Even with the best technology you can stealthfully install. My one single little plant on day 28 of flowering stinks up my entire two bedroom apt! And while your county may have a 99 plant rule, federal law states that marijuana is illegal, therefore the feds have the right (and it would stand up in court) to shut your operation down. Also does the 99 plants pertain to Joe Citizen patient? Or is it to a speacially liscensed distribution grower?
I am not asking these questions by no means to attack you. It is everyone's responsibility to be fully aware of the laws and how they apply. The courts don't care about "I really didn't know sir," because its your job a a citizen to know the law. I am asking these questions in hopes that you will do the research to know fully what you are putting on the line for a drug.
