Hi, Im new here and I have a question for you guys. A police chopper flew over my complex like 50 feet above the roof lines and circled around the complex 5 times, with their lights off, no beacon light all you could see is the shadow in the dark of it flying from dim moonlight. What would police choppers be doing with NO lights on or even a beacon light(which to my knowladge is illigal to fly without the blinking beacon light or some indication of a light that your in flight). Im ultra parinoid now as they circle a small distance and fly right over the roof line almost nocking the cabinets open inside its so fucking loud. They do this EVERY OTHER NIGHT!

well, if your like me.. which I happen to live less than a mile away from an active military base. I also happen to live within a mile from a major airport.. which my house also happens to be right smack dab in the middle of their flight plan.
I hear jets and helicopters all the damn time.. but I don't worry about them. Why? Well.. because I know I'm not putting off a significant heat signature.. if one at all. Why? Well, because I'm not pushing thousands of watts.. I use one 150watt HPS lamp... with the rest being high wattage CFL bulbs for side/lower lighting for the plant(s). So therefore.. I'm not really putting out enough of a heat signature for me to worry about it..
If you think your putting off enough of a heat signature.. then yeah, I might worry about it a little bit.

thanks guys. I live within 3 miles of an airport. But like I was saying, it is illigal to fly without the beacon light. Infact if I remember, they turned the ligths on when they flew out tword another area, activating the beacon lights. Its just weird that they stealth flew over my complex like 6 times, circling it, flying within 50 feet of the roof....

They may be using infared to search for other things, or perhaps it's a MIB looking for rogue aliens walking the streets
I wouldn't worry about it, even if you have a significant grow in your complex, I doubt they'd pick up anything, besides, at $500
an hour to fly those things, that's a pretty penny

Lookout for the infamous "red-eyes", it's a dead-giveaway for infrared cameras...And I don't see the purpose of them shutting off the lights, choppers are extremely loud and can be heard from a fairly long distance...Not too stealthy.

well because it is the law........ so how do you know they dont have to tell you anything???? no they dont have to tell u they are looking for a grow but yes they HAVE to tell you it is them or not!! Ive had it happen, ive called them, and they told me what they were doing. so.... have u? have u done this before?
He is right! I have done the same. Turned out a task force was doin a drug raid like 5 houses away. You have a right to know if its them but they wont tell you anything else!
