Pointless b*tching about video games

Hey friends,

Soooo first let me start by saying this: I love playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 online.

That being said, let me b*tch.

The single player story for COD:MW2 is retarded (I apologize to any persons who take my colorful language as offensive, but I don't curr)

I understand its mostly an online game, but come-on guys, you couldn't try a little harder?

The story felt like; this happened

yea then this happened,

then this happened for some reason.



The Russians decide to invade the US after a lone American body is found and associated with the shooters. F*ck multilateral deployment - they didn't even go through a proxy war first! lol

But no worries cuz Sargent Foley is on the case (even though he was engaged in Afghanistan 3 days earlier) and helps to fight off the surprise Russian invasion.

Also other stuff, but I don't want to spoil the story for anybody.

Anywho, this is totally pointless b*tching, but lets discuss nonetheless

i feel you m8, when i drop 45quid to get a game, i want at least 12 hours single player, yh multiplayer is fun as fuck but still....... i want a story aswell, and with mw2 and games like that they usually make no sense, just becuase a body was american doesnt mean the american gov' was responsible for the massacre, those games are just made for you to shoot, not think and enjoy a decent story.

MW2 online is wonderful. 2 Map pack release's, good servers, great online gameplay.

MW2 Single player is a joke, almost like an afterthought to the online game. They should release new downloadable single player content like they do map packs for multiplayer...

That said Im going to go play a few rounds online. New Call oo Duty Black Op's coming in November, should be better as it was picked back up by the previous developer...

I don't play the story mode.....at all........waste of time if you ask me.....I'm on my 7th prestige........I'm addicted to call of duty.....I play every day....every day.....take no prisoners comrad

Not going to lie, didn't mind the story, I mean the idea of the US being invaded by Russia, isn't really that plausible anyway, and if on 9/11 if it was just one plane, so say only one of the towers fell, the US would have still attacked Afghanistan, so my point is the one american body, theoretically, showed that the American CIA or whatever was behind, what was most likely the worst terrorist attack to hit Russia in the modern era, so the Russians "with all the rage they have against the US" as so many imagine still, responded with an attack on the United States, makes enough sense to me to be the story in a game, but not really in real life. And the special opps I find to be extremely fun and as a good substitute for longer game play, just my two cents

i did special ops split screen whilst me n my guys smoked a nice half 0 of cheese, some very good memories, u have no idea how funny it is just twirling in a circle shootin shit when COMPLETLY stoned.

If ya wanna game with a story it gonna have to be Metal Gear Solid, all of them! part from anythin on PS3, cause am poor aint got one bongsmilie

lol metal gear solid was alright, but i was playin crysis on very high when it came out so i couldnt stand the graphics compared to my pc.

think about the tension between the two governments after the first game. No take into account that allen was a marine, the Russians would be able to find that out in an instant.

fair enuff, but its still a lil far fetched going for all out war, i just wanna play mw3, that game is gonna be the shiznik crackl.

Metal gear solid was prob jus so good for me cause it came out bout same time i got well into weed, and was first game i played properly smoked out, like sittin for hour after hour, ya head feels glued in place by the burnin in your eyes, tons a caffeine, and a faithful bucket (gravity bong) good times :eyesmoke:

why not look at it the other way, story aside. how can they make such an entertaining single player game and then put it alongside the utter shite that is multiplayer.

right there with ya turtle! i hopped onto vegas 2 on the 360 after playing it on my pc, ouch, eye sore. i've yet to play a single game on a console that makes me think "wow, £300 and better than my pc". every game i've played to date i've sat and thought "christ, this is console fanboys defense, that my graphics card cost £100?" i'd happily spend that £100, that £200 and have my games NOT look like that thanks.

i couldnt believe how popular the game got with that short single player.

I really enjoyed the single player mode of COD:MW2. I thought it had a lot of depth that the majority of FPS game are missing - plus the epicness of the battles was extraordinary.
