Hey guys,

Looking to purchase a new set of 1000W lights for my indoors. Market seems to be saturated with all types of brands, sizes, wattages etc so I'd appreciate a bit of help from those that have a clue. Budget is no higher than 150$ for the moment. I'm not planning to grow any high-grade artisinal weed or whatever, it's more of an emergency supply thing, so no need to comment on the loss of this or that if I'm using lower quality lights ✌

I think you need to give us an idea what space you want to light, because there's no 1000w lights anywhere near that budget.

Or are you talking about some LED with dodgy marketing and fake wattages?

Just my trusty closet It's pretty spacious and I've managed a good 10 grows in there albeit with some sucky blurple types. I guess part of my question is, what are the none-dodgy and fake brands out there ? I'm kinda clueless. I've heard good things about mars hydro...

Maybe look at phlizon.
$150 doesn't get you much though.
Maybe enough to light 2ft x 2ft or a bit more

Calculate your actual grow space ( size ) and shop lights to fit that.

No need for “ 1000 watt or whatever “ in a closet.
It's like a room-sized closet, dude, trust me no need..

Thanks ! Will look into it

Been actually using a couple of phlizon 600s for the past couple years but I was told they're pretty crummy and to try out mars hydros
Are those the bluples?

They've come a long way since.

I've got some of their big lights and they are a lot of light for the money.

Mars hydro has always had a bad rep .. but they're. Making better lights now than they ever had before .

I still wouldn't buy Mars because they can't stop themselves talking outta their arse

If im being honest, even with Cheap Chinese lights, you will get no where near that price for 1000w and if you did somehow manage to find a 1000w light for that(you wont) but if you did, you would not want to risk running it(unless you get a great deal on a used light) because any new 1000w light at that price is gonna be dangerous with the short cuts they have to take to get it that cheap. If that is your budget,I would try something like one of these and only grow a couple plants under it.

This one is the closest to your budget I can find and its more than you want to spend. And its only 800w.

I see...guess it's ultimately a matter of personal experience. And yes, it's the 600w blurples. I've gotten pretty satisfying yields since I got them but I'm looking to upgrade to something a bit better since the general opinion on blurples is meh and am constantly told I'd get better results using something else

never heard of a walk-in closet?
yeah, my bad, that's what I meant

Are they actually 600w?

Because the biggest issue with blurples was always the false claims they made to sell lights.
Like saying a 300w light equally 2000w of hps or whatever.. obviously leads to massive disappointment and negative opinion.

If your getting results then just supplement what you have with additional white LEDs within your current budget and then add as you can afford.

Really, the main thing is having ample light.
