poasting vids

i know this is in another thread somewhere but can someone tell me how to poast youtube videos so they show in thread instead of just posting a link. im dumb so please explain like you would to a idiot...thanks plus rep

Im not 100% on this but have you tried using the embed code from the you tube page?

embed code??? i copy and paste thing from top of page...www.youtube-then it shows this on RIU in thread and you can click on it and it sends you to video on youtube. other people have little box in thread with youtube vid you can watch without leaving RIU

Copy the address...type [youtoobe]then paste the address and type[/youtoobe]

only spell youtube right (I had to misspell or you would not see what I typed)

between [youtoobe]and [/youtoobe]

like this:

http:Y4Y7GMPJO64&feature=related

:http:Y4Y7GMPJO64&feature=related

eliminate the red also watch?v=Y4Y7GMPJO64&feature=related

type [ then youtube then ] paste this Y4Y7GMPJO64&feature=related then type [ then / then youtube then ]

good idea.

delete everything up to and including the v=

everything to the right stays.

use the brackets [ and ] with the word youtube between

the back slash / is used before youtube and after the bracket like this: [/ to close the whole thing just like when you use the "quote" button
