Why does everybody recommend a longer veg phase? i see grows 12/12 from seed with big yield and big buds. Why dont veg only for a week and then switch straight to flower? the yield should be bigger or ? my plants are now 29 day old. if i switch now to flower the yield should be decent am i right ?. i got a nebula haze (60%sativa 40%indica). about 10 inches tall, 6-7 nodes.. under a 600W light since 2 weeks.. Pls help

Just because you switch to 12/12 early doesnt mean it will flower any faster. It will still need to reach maturity before it will start flowering.
Most people doing 12/12 from seed are running perpetual grows and adding plants every few weeks. They have small yields from each plant but harvest frequently and have variety.

ok thank you !

We also hold them in veg to propagate bud sights and building structure for thick branches to hold up big heavy colas. By topping, FIM, LST and HST. A plant started at 12/12 will be weak and spindly. The game is grow more than you can smoke until your next crop is ready, lotta ways to skin that cat.

,,The game is grow more than you can smoke until your next crop is ready,´´ Yeah that would be the plan !

Flipped this Purple Thai at 6 weeks from seed here she is now with one top at 2W from flip when hairs start shooting, not when you change light time). They can take up to 10 days to change over.

The extra time allows me to thicken the base stalk for bigger and thicker main branches, to hold the weight and pump up nutes of bigger and fatter buds.

So you pretty much don’t even count the “transition” weeks and just start your count from white hairs? Just want to make sure I understand.

Ive only done autos but thinking of switching next batch of seeds.

For a comparison, my last round was 2 plants in organic soil. 3 gallon pots, 8 weeks of veg yielded around 7 oz of bud and 45g of trim/larf

Send a pic of a plant that got a yield of 3-4oz if u got any buddy I’d love a comparison I’m trying to get a bead on how much weight I have in my tent if it’s a pound or not.. day 42 pics day 43 today outta 63-66 maybe 67/70 .. or even jus throw up a pic of your 7ouncer if u don’t got any smaller yielders bro
