you should get something about 1-2" high..
so you can put it under that tray to raise them up a bit..
just so that they don't stretch for light & whatnot..

I had them about 2-3 inches away, and it burnt my leaves on my last attempt n basically killed em , thats why I have em about 4 inches away now.

Patience, if anything it could be your lighting.
Why do you have 20 CFL bulbs? Isnt that....expensive?

*Shrug* That does seem a little too slow.

But burning at 2-3" because of 24w CFL's? that sounds odd, My first sprouts were under 52w CFL and still virtuallly no residual heat until 1".
Can you post a photo of your lighting rig?
Also, what brand/model is your cfl.

I posted a photo on the second page, I put em closer, about an inch closer than it shows in those pics on page 2. I put a fan blowing across the plants/lights so any heat shouldnt touch em really.

see ur plant is younger than mine.. and its leaves are absolutely huge compared to mine... not to mention ur on ur second set of leaves...

dont worry my plant is 2 weeks old and it only has like 7 or 8 leaves

I was thinking and I bet its because of this fkin 24/0 light schedule.. Ive watched my friends grow weed, and always used 18/6 and never had a problem.. since I started my own grow, this is the first time I've tried or seen results from a 24/0 schedule , and these plants are tiny..im really unimpressed.. maybe they really DO need time to rest to grow a little better.

ive ved 24/0 with cfls back in the day
with them almost touching the plant and didnt burn it

Might want to put your kids into a bigger size pot, I had some this grow start off really slow but they hit their stride and got root bound mad fast. All good things take time. Also no, you can't check on them enough, I look at my girls about every other hour if I'm home. Don't be afraid to flower early with CFL's I've always done it around the two week old marker give or take a couple days.

maybe its just the type of cfls I have, but if I touch them , they are pretty hot

lol dude if u want watch them grow,i do all the time, eyes dont hurt em, they look healthy nice soil to...yea man some plants grow slow. pot is 1 of them, thell get bigger

Your lighting / setup looks fine. The difference between a 24/0 and 18/6 isn't huge, you shouldn't compare it to others at the same stage, there are so many variables that amount to your plant growth, that its difficult to cross refrence that way.

Whats your grow media composition ratio?
And with all that carpet around, do yourself a favour and treat your soil with Oxine Benzonate and prevent certain disaster.

PM if you want a walk through, I've got some ladies about that age, maybe share a little insight.

I really don't think its your lighting.

my soil is 1/3 peatmoss/perlite/vermiculite. maybe a tiny bit more of the peat moss, but not much at all.

When should I take them outta the dixie cups and put em into larger pots? Is there a certain amount of weeks to wait for? because the cups im using arent clear, so its like I can see the roots

dude dont hijack the mans thread read the fucken faq section... socom... dont worry about there size mine are the same size at the same age.. no worries hommie... i start mine in blue party cups but hey whatever you got on hand go with it.. i use cfl for veg and flouro cfl mix for flowering.. i found mine grew alot better when i cut down the square footage there grown in .. .. .. dude ive seen you around and you have nothing to worry about... i love to sit and stair at my plants... only hurts the eyes after i look away... lol but hey dont go psyco they dont grow like every ten minutes more like an inch or two a day... lol

oh ive talked to alot of people who say they get five nodes a day and guess what there full of shit or have 1000 watt hps.. lol not gonna get that kinda growth with cfl unless you get 400 watts of them or more..
