These are AROUND the same age, around 7 days old since they popped out of the soil. They were a little taller, but I filled in the space with soil all the way up to the bottom of the rounded leaves.

This one guy said he gets around 5 nodes at 2 weeks old.. mines a week old and its still tiny.

The temp is 78-80F with the lights on, and around 42-46% humidity. I water once every 2, maybe 3 days. Not using any nutrients yet. Im CFL growing, I have 1 cfl over each plant right now, but plan on implementing alot more once they are bigger.

What am I doing wrong? Why arent my plants up to par and look as good as everyone elses? They say their plants are 2 weeks old, and look 3 times as big as mine.

Ok first slow down take a breath.......you are doing fine. all plants grow differently. the amount of variables in each grow makes it impossible to compare yours to someone elses.
it looks good. get some more light, keep that watering sched. and relax bro........youre gona be just fine

yeah, my plant's only 5 days old from the time it sprout..
going on 6 next lights on, in about 3 hours..

it's already grown out it's second set of leaves..
i'm going to update my thread next lights on..

but, maybe get them all bunched together..
with the lights over all of them? i think that could help..

what kind of lights are you using anyway?
also, your temps & humidity are WAY better than mine..
my temps are 88-95F with the humidity at 28-30%..
i tried lowering but it's difficult..
& i don't have a problem with my grow..

could be the lights? maybe they want more light..
i give my plant 2 100W daylight CFL's & 1 small 3500k CFL..
it grows real good, maybe half a centimeter to 1 of node space..
try centering all your plants together along with the lights..
maybe that will help them shoot off..

nevertheless, your plants look good man
don't check on them TOO MUCH! :)
let them growwwwwwww ;)

good luck man :D

some plants take a week to even sprout, it will start growing faster in a couple weeks.

Have sum faith, it will all come good in the end, try and just leave them they are weeds no 2 look the same no 2 ever will, you are over fussing looking at them every 2 mins and your time is dragging by, that wont happen if you just let them be, a little water a little light and a little love always goes a long way, only in time will you learn to leave them alone, and only then will you notice just how fast these things grow. ''fact''

thats prolly true, I check on em wayyyyyy too much lol. Should I only look in there once every 3 days when I go to water em?

Oh and for rasta, I have 1 26w cfl over top of each plant , just for now, until they grow enough so that I can surround em with the other 20 bulbs I have lol

I check on mine once or twice a day to make sure if anything has gone wrong I can hopefully fix it or prevent it from getting worse. There isn't a set rule for how often you should check on your plants lol. Good luck with your grow.:)

oh, we're using the same bulbs.. i think..
mine are equivalents though.. 100W -> 26W usage..

20 bulbs? holy hell lol
sounds like you have it all planned out :D
you're not worried about the heat though?
i'm worried about it.. lol
i only have 3 bulbs & my temps hit 95F..
so i check on them before i sleep & leave the door open for a bit..
then i lock it, sleep & wake up first thing i do is check on her..
make sure she isn't suffocating lol..

either way, good luck man..
best wishes to you & your plants :D

yea same bulbs. Im not worried at all about the heat. Its winter here in canada, I actually have my electric heat on in the room to keep it at this temp, otherwise itd be too cold.

well, i'm glad you have your issues dealt with :D
but on my side :( i can't seen to figure out my heat issue..
i dropped it to 88F though..
only thing is, i had to throw in a huge fan & put it on medium.. lol

keep it up though..
your plants are doing totally fine :D

yea heat is hard to deal with , especially if u live in a hot area.. only real thing u can do is air conditioning, which is mad expensive to run if ur only growin a couple plants.

Im gonna get a power bar , and hook up like 3 or 4 Y connectors with 2 lights each, and throw that in there over top of all 3 plants, see if that helps em out a bit. The only thing is , last time I did that, I burnt the leaves a bit... they are cfls but still get kinda hot if too close.

I realize that there is many variables on how fast the plants grow, but what can I do to improve the growth rate? I see people using the same cfls as mine, and grow way faster. My temps and humidity , as far as I know, are good.. so is there anything else I can do?

i think you should try what i stated.. lol
put all your plants in the center..
& get the lights right above all of them..
so that they get more coverage over the plants..

it's worth a try..
my plant is growing fairly faster than my last grow..
& my plant is growing in a temp that people say is not suitable..

just something i figured you should try..
because my plant already has her second set of leaves..
& yours is working towards that right now..

just my two cents..
good luck my friend :D

Def gonna try that, I just went to my friends place and picked up my old power bar he was using, so now I have about 7 sockets. Im gonna take a picture of this thing, there is an extra plug in on it , but above it , it says "transformer" am I still able to use that plug in? or is it for something "special".

ill take a pic and show u in the next couple mins, lemme know before that if u already know what im talking about.

i think you should try what i stated.. lol
