I'm new to the growing game but will be working with a very experienced grower who is moving down from Washington. We are hoping to plant clones sometime in the next two or three weeks.

My first assignment is to find out what outdoor indica strains(clones) will thrive in a very warm and fairly dry climate. We have a great patio platform for a backyard to grow from. Located overlooking one of the infinite canyons that inhabit the SFV. It will be a very small and personal med marijuana grow, compliant with state and county law.And invisible to anyone but helicopters. Are these an issue in the SFV?

So,we were thinking about growing some indicas that will yield well and grow well in the SFV climate. As I mentioned, My grower is an expert but has never grown in such a warm climate. what strains will thrive in the sfv? Not really into the og's like most so cal people. Thinking Blueberry, Purple Kush or GDP, or Blackberry kush. Will Master Kush or Bubba provide a good outdoor yield? Any other opinions would be appreciated. We like old school alot.

thanks so much,

Dan

I'm looking forward to contributing to this community.

1st of all man, i cannot help someone who's telling me that he's growing marijuana in a state where it's illegal to do so and has no medical permit for it!! plus, ask ur pro fella for strain he will deff help u out if he's as experienced as u think! i don't want to be rude but ur taking unnecessary risk! Good luck... BTW my only advice will be: very not recommended to grow outdoor in ur case! this is not a tomato plant! it's unique, very known and it SMELLS! Welcome anyways. I ONLY GROW WHEN I'M SURE THAT MY BABIES WONT RISK ANYTHING AT ALL... I DO GARDENING WITH LOVE... WILL U EVER TAKE UR CHILD SOMEWHERE WHERE HE MIGHT BE HURT???

Did he stop you on the street and ask for help? Nah, he posted this on a forum, so you can choose to not respond. I bet there are many threads you choose to not respond in, so you know you can do it.
i def can! i'm just giving my self opinion as i'm a member of this forum! the question can be asked simply with no reference to breaking any kind of law! we're here to grow, to learn, to enjoy and to prove that we Ganja Smokers are not related with any kind suspicious activities and not looking into anything else then getting a fucking nice joint and watch our ladies grow peacefully :bigjoint: and BTW i didn't attack anyone and wasn't rude as well! anyways Happy 420 Everyone.

Wow!I stirred up a little dust storm. I am a ca resident with a med marijuana recommendation. My friend will participate after getting ca d/l and recommendation. This will be a 4 to 6 plant grow, legal under california and county law. On private property. I would love to hear all opinions as to the safety of growing a few plants outdoors. Not looking to create arguments and fights, good people.

thanks

Great so Welcome to RIU!

Iranian Short Season - Dr Greenthumb

- An Endless Sky pheno that finishes in August.
- 4 1/2 out of 5 for potency (White Widow/AK47 would be 4/5)
- Reduced yield from Endless Sky, but all the potency
- tastes hashy

Keep it Up!

Okay so what youre looking to do is put an indica in a place where Sativa would thrive... I can understand seeing as your kind of in a sativa dominant area indica may sell for more or whatever....... i would get either a sativa mix (kandy kush) or some Purple train Wreck (grand daddy purps x trainwreck)..... this ones all indica ... its extremly hardy in compairison to other indicas, from what ive seen anyways and clones should be prevelant in that area since thats where it was originally slapped together. also check into some mixed with a Ruderalis... they are often auto flowering but its hardy and low riding and often the indica taste come through very well... your buddy sounds like a good teacher to have you looking before they arrive but i would be suprised if as a good grower he doesnt already have a good idea of what he wants. take quick study and be surprised with you dont know

thanks for the great info,Father Guido. We are not looking to grow indica for its ability to be moved. We are growing medicinally for personal use. We are ms and fybromyalgia sufferers here. Primary goal is to grow very clean and quality medication and save obscene amounts of money in dispensaries that have very little consistency or safety standards. My buddy has already picked out three strains, northern lights #5,blue dream, and pineapple express. All three strains have flourished under her care. WE want to add two more indicas and one more sativa.Purple wreck sounds like an excellent idea. How does it stack up to gdp or purple kush as a sleeping aid?

Even better to hear.. that not worried about moving it part... im not sure about vs. gdp cause ive honestly never knowingly smoked it. but vs. purple kush it a hair more sedative. i know inside purple kush can put off a higher yield when side by side. but i prefer the PTW for overall taste and affect... its very sleepyish
