Hello everyone, I usually post on the outdoor site but after this summer which really wasn't bad with execption of tics, misquetos, chiggers, flea's, and a host of other little bitting buggers, I have decided to grow indoors, man my body is shot out with all manner of bug bites.
My first question is, when growing indoors is growing in a "Pro-mix" type considered soil or soiless?

Two, I am in the process of setting up, and my wallet is somewhat light of funds, is the Magnetic ballast a whole lot different than the Electroinic type.

Three, some package light deals come with bulbs, is there a huge difference in bulbbs?

Four, I was on the other expanded type of indoor growing portion of this site but couldn't seem to find any updated hydro-type deals on lighting, does anyone have any insigt into some killer deals on lighting?

Thank You, folks and please to harsh me if this is the place i shouldn't be asking these question, again thank you.

Oh and the Home Depot has gotten in some nice T-5 fixtures, how nice would it be if the Depo's started carrying our lighting needs. Maybe drive down the price a bit?

Just another quick question. Has anyone ever used "Nirvana's Lowryder seeds to create a sea of green?

When I started indoors i went to the homo depot and got all mt lighting....biggest headache and mistake ever. there t5 bulbs are not high output and the bulbs they got are very poor for flowering. I was in the same position where I had no cash. I bit the bullet and saved up for a mh/hps electronic ballast. Im sure a home depot setup could grow some bud( mine grew but only very small) but you wont see any explosive growth. I wouldd serousily coincider saving up for a electronic ballast. It made growing for me more fun for the fact that
I was using the same equiptment that Ive seen amazing results from.
BUT if you have to stick with the whole home depot set up i would go with the big cfl bulbs and many of them.

Thank You, Stickystickyganja. No I won't buy my actual lighting from HD, just the new flouresent T-5s. My high output lighting, 1000wt types of light will be bought where ever there the cheepest. I was just wondering if there was a vast difference between Mag ballast and Elc. ballast.
