do I have to flush my plant if I have nutrient burn, or can i just water really heavily for a few days in a row? will that get rid of the nutrient burn? also how long does it take for the nutrient burn to go away after the flush? the next day? A week? I just transplanted all of my plants into 5 gal pots. I'm hesitant to flush so I don't waste all the good soil that I just put in the pots. as the flush flush out all of the good microbes and nutrients and etc. so my real question is is with a small amount of nutrient burn on four or five fan leaves should I flush? or can i water heavily the next few days to get rid of it?

A small nutrient burn is a slight tip discoloration, a severe nute burn is crispy leaves, a small nute burn is fine, just water as usual and skip a feeding, crispy leaves need a flush. Nute burn doesnt go away so if you fried 4 or 5 fans on a plant with only 6 fans you fucked yourself, if it has 30 fans ul be ok after a flush. If you didnt just burn the tips with a slight burn and fried your leaves and need to flush, you flush a lot at once and let it dry as you do with normal watering, not a lot 3 days in a row because then you will have a burnt plant thats also been overwatered.

thank you kindly for such a great response on the only question you have to answer for me if you wouldn't mind answering is how long it would take for my plans to recover after the nutrient burn if I flush them?

The damage is already done, burns dont go away they just stop spreading. Flush it good and let it dry out as normal, if the new growth looks good at your next watering you should be good. Overfeeding in soil sucks, id flush it and then just water normally after it drys & then topdress with some dry organic ferts and lime after that. I dont know what your using for nutes but Jacks classic is great for soil, hard to burn with that, hard to fuck it up at all really, its cheap and it produces great. So depending how bad it is you may be good after 1 flush so ul be down for a week and after that it should get back to normal growth. Every time you burn you lower your yield so take your time with nutes, soil doesnt need a lot
