Hey all not new to growing but new to starting from seed. So I brought 5 skunk #1 from royal queen and started them in jiffy pellets in a tub with clear lid and a vent, I placed all 5 seeds in 5 jiffy pellets and placed in tub and put a lil water in bottom and put lid in a placed in tent under a 400 hps. Around 3-4 foot away. So to sprouted and are healthy and in 2 L pots now growing good, that was 2 weeks ago I started them and the three still ain't come threw. They have germed as I moved a lil soil and they all have root poking out of seed just nothing is happening now. I have been growing a wile but always use clones where as now I want something else not just blue cheese, I got told to try and put them in a dark place and see if that works so done that today, temp in tent is 75f and lights are on 24/7 atm. Any advice would help a lot. Just don't want to lose these three as I have the other two and don't want them getting to big in veg due to minimum grow space.

Photos usually help so we can see exactly what we are dealing with.

Future advice for starting seeds: don't use Jiffy\peat pellets. For one thing they aren't limed (neutralized), they are too small and just not ideal. Straight coir in a plastic cup would be better, or just directly into a good soil-less mix like Sunshine Advanced #4.
Personally don't use a dome or cover the seedlings at all, just water thoroughly after putting in the seeds and don't let it dry out thereafter.

you let em dry out most likely.....i totally agree with nullis...i germinate in a cup with a paper towel in the dark almost perfect germ rates..then straight into a party cup of previously soaked soiless mix dont water it after you add the seed and DO NOT LET IT DRY OUT lol also i suggest putting your seedlings under a simple 100 watt compact flouro for their first couple weeks at least but really i see no point to vegging with an hid at all. mmmm and remember to put holes on the cup bottom and dont worry about people who tell you not to overwater as soon as its a few inches tall you can go to a normal watering schedule you wont drown a seedling by over saturating the dirt

Thanks for info, I started in pellets cause I want these 3 to go in to my dwc set up and they are always wet cause I kept at least 1/4 inch puddle at the bottom of container that the pellets were soaking up and the tub had condensation on it 24/7. Are these 3 goners or is there still a chance they'll pop ? They have germed just not doin much else :/

See you really don't want them constantly drenched; you certainly don't want them sitting in a puddle. That is just asking for the seed to rot. This is why the Jiffy pellets aren't great, the medium really needs to be well draining and airy. This is what makes coco coir such an excellent medium\amendment.

After two weeks, I'd say they're toast. I start my seeds in a wet paper towel, then once they germinate I put them about 1/4" into the dirt. It's always worked for me...they're just seeds they don't really need anything but a little water and dirt to set up shop in. They usually germinate within 1 or 2 days, and poke through the soil 1-3 days after that.

yup simple is best....i dont know anything about the dwc stuff or any type of hydro but i agree sitting in water is not good you will get yellow growth that looks like a bean sprout if it grows at all but it doesnt sound like you had it literally sitting in water and if you know you didnt dry it out then i like growones explanation..sounds reasonable and if you did nothing different to those that grew i dont see a reason they wouldnt have grown

God knows mate they were literally sat in a puddle and were brand new seeds from shop. But I have started again in a dif medium and goin to not put a puddle at bottom just spray when feeling dry. And leave lid on under my 400hps far away from direct light.
