Please Help!

In the process of transplanting my 3-4inch tall younglings I ripped the root system off one of my nice AK's. There were two small roots left but thats it. I replanted it anyway, but what do I need to do? Will it be alright?

wow, that sucks. there is a great chance it will not survive if you try to grow it with just 2 root shoots.
you would be better off trying to clone the plant.
i would stick the root end under water, and cut the stem at an angle under water.
then clone it.
either use a rooting hormone, or you could rig up an areoponics device, which is kinda easy to do.

I was considering the cloning thing so I think I'll do that.

i have always wondered this but when you take cuttings from a plant, how are you supposed to cut it underwater?

I know... I had to take snorkling lessons. The pro's use the proper breathing equipment, divers watch, flippers and everything.

I think it's gonna bounce back. the leaves were a little dry today but i think itll be alright. I used the cloning idea. we'll see...

Oh yeah and at this point for this particular plant should i stay away from nutes for a while?

this is an outdoor soil grow by the way.

it's has 2 roots, why would you try to re-root it? you should just let it grow. it will get more roots.

really fdd. you think a whole plant, will survive with just 2 roots.
i couldnt imagine a plant getting all of its watersupply thru 2 roots. i know it will start growing roots, but wouldnt it die before it had a healthy root system again.

a 3-4" tall sprout? sure why not? i think it might slow down, even go into a little shock but if it makes it 2 -3 days i would think it will be fine. it seems cloning it is pretty much the same thing. you would just cut the bottom and root it. it is doing that now, i think.

I cut it, used the cloning solution and put it back. Yesterday. I'll keep an eye on it.

its back in the soil. i dont have any rockwool left.
