I have 2 White Widows both fem and are standing at 2 1/2' and 1 1/2'. The smaller one has brown at the end of the tips of the leaf and the taller one has sort of a purple stem. Both are 11 days old. I have them Under 2 four foot fluorescent bulbs and 2 heating bulbs "Sun Light Supply". I have the lamp 1 foot above plants top. The area is all reflective and I have two fans, 1 circulating the air and one acting as wind towards the plants. I water the plants with distilled water. I'm using Miracle- Gro Potting mix. I just need to know if I'm doing everything right and how my plants look. Also please feel free to give me suggestions and comments. Pictures below. I'veread alot of post andabout growing but I want to know from people who do this alot(Grow). Thanks.

The problem is your soil, if you look it says it feeds for two months on the bag there, also move your light 5-4 inches above your plants to make their nodes tighter, purple stems are fine with seedlings i get them alot and i get nice buds, you could try flushing but i'd wait a feww days and see if it get worse

Are you using tinfoil? Kind of looks like the tips of your plants are burned to me, Tin foil is actually less reflective than flat white paint, and it creates nasty hotspots which can burn your plants

ya dude ive heard on here several times that Miracle Grow rapes little babies pumping too much crap into them so i would guess from how it looks that might be the problem. get some organic soil its just as important as your nutrients.
...and the tin foil, the material unevenly reflects light so it causes heat spots but i doubt thats a concern quite yet. Flat white plaint is better but just sack up and get some mylar. I convinced myself to get mylar after awhile and my grow room is much better for it.

Is this in a closet? I would paint flat white and ditch the foil but if your renting and painting isnt a option, then pat man is right... get the mylar

someone already said it, but ya, ur lights are too far. fluoros are inefficient as fuck beyond about 5 inches... a lot of people seem to have nute probs in seedlings with MG soil... if you plan to continue to grow, use mylar.. take pieces of thin cardboard or thick construction paper and cut 1"x1" squares (makes it easier to to staple to and wont tear your mylar... or buy the mylar tape...General Hydroponics Flora series is a damn easy to use nute line. DO NOT USE THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR NUTRIENT STRENGTH.. YOU WILL BURN THEM. use 1/4 strength!
