ok lol this is probly a really dumb question but i gatta know. i just started a grow box and i have 4 flourecent t5 tubes on the top lid so that when u close the trunk the lights are in perfect position. but the bad thing is the side of the box are black, which we all know doest reflect light lmao so ive heard painting the sides white works? or would tin foil work? or could i use white construction paper to line the walls? cause i have no paint lol

foil is bad. try mylar. or if you're really poor, get the shiny, metalic-like wrapping paper from the dollar store. on the reverse side it is reflective because it is made of mylar. :peace:

i agree about the foil. no good, causes "hotspots" and may burn the leaves. The 2 cheap option. Use a "pure white" gloss or semi-gloss paint or at walmart or many other stores. You can purchase "duct" tape with a silver mirror like reflection on the take. Looks just like foil but it isnt, That works great but also acts as a insulator so be sure to have proper ventalation if you line your grow room wih that. Very cheap way to go , only 2 bucks or so per roll, best of luck

not regular duct tape.. but at walmart i purchased this tape..same material as duck tape but looks exactly light alluminum foil but isnt. extremly reflective and does not seem to cause hot spots. Just a very cheap option but very universal. Just size up the peices, rip and stick. allows your to make ANYTHING into some sort of reflector
