please help i think theres too muchnutrients

I think upon transplanting our mother my buddy may have used too much nutrients. it is slumped over and appears to be malnourished with outer leaves dying, the water is brown and there is a brown sludge on the roots. i feel this cant be normal and want to change the water. he thinks the problem is too much light and wants too simulate night 5hrs a day. whats wrong? :wall: :dunce::wall::dunce::wall:

u know if we all just stuck with soil we would not have these problems,If u are a new grower start with soil it makes life alot less stressful as u can already see. I hear of more problems with hydro grows than i have ever with soil growers.Just maybe for once we human's should stop f'in with one of mother nature's finest creations. look what man did to the coco leaf we turn it in to a lethal drug!! MEN, DO WE EVER JUST STOP TRYIN TO REINVENT THE WHEEL. Good luck with ur grow i dont do hydro wish i could help bro.Hydro has been around for many years so there are people here to help.If u go to soil let me know can help there.Truly good luck man.

Oh and tell ur buddy it's not the lite plants can take all the lite u can givem. I run my lites at 18/6 and then 12/12 to flower never change what u are doing when it comes to lite cycles if 24 is it than leave it at 24 till flowering time.

New growers should use Canna Coco IMO, It's easier to control than soil and is almost impossible to over-water. At OP, if you've over fertilized then flush with 3x the ammount of water the pot can hold, IE: 2 gal pot, Flush with 6gal of just PH'd water.

I agree with Johnou833, coco is the best for first timers. i use GH coco with great results, and its more like hydro than soil so you'll have faster growth rate and larger plants...... they love it.
