So I am having a hard time figuring out what this problem is my friend has a grow and this started happening to his plants and we can't figure out what it is. If someone could help us out it would be greatly appreciated. Here are some pics.

We checked the ph and it was between 6-7, its not cal/mag there is lime in soil, the soil is amended organic soil and very little if any liquid nutes have been used because the amended soil usually has enough so it shouldn't be nute burn. There also shouldn't be any micro nutrient def. as the soil usually has enough in it. Is this a disease of some sort? Please help us figure this out.

sure looks like N toxicity is at least part of it. there is stunting due to this toxicity. dark green, huge fan leaves, lime green, stunted growth leads. P is probably getting locked out also. imo

It's looking like overdose of nutes or the wrong type of soil
What type of nutes and how little did you give'em and what brand
of dirt/nutes really need a real name not just some genetic term:lol:

His Soil is Happy Frog, I have some of this going on too and my mix is 1 bag ff ocean forest,1 bag ff light warrior and 1 bag ff planting mix plus a half bag of organimax compost, 10 gal perlite and 1 cup fruit and flower. I have used this recipe for years for my starter mix and never had a problem with it. We reuse our soil usually When we finish a grow and re amend with 1 cup Alfalfa Meal, 1 Cup Rock Phosphate, 1 cup blood meal, 1 cup Green sand,1 cup bone meal, 1 cup diatomaceous earth and 1 cup dolomite lime per 50-60 gals of soil and let it sit and compost a month. We are in Smart pots and up pot as needed. He has re amended his soil I have not gotten to that point yet. We are both long time growers, I have been growing 11 years him 7 and we have been using this soil recipe for a while with zero issues till now. We just moved to a legal state and set up again and now we are having issues. The only thing we are really doing different is making tea and it is a very basic tea of myco madness, bioweed, prozyme, trinity and molasses. Also I have another grower who is using the same soil recipe as me and he has had zero issues the only difference is he doesn't make tea . I also use this recipe on all stages of growth on all my plants and only some plants are having this problem, I have some that are healthy as can be as does my friend.

Do u think the tea is causing the nutes to break down quicker and possibly causing all these problems? because it really is the only thing we are doing different as far as food goes and like I said we have used this recipe for years with zero issues. I am more worried it is a disease of some sort and it is going to spread.

Hey Nick, this is exactly the same problem I am having! Identical. Check out polyarcturus's response. Does this seem like it could possibly be your temp and humidity as well?

Cant PM you because it says you need to clean your inbox out ;-)

Looks Like HEAT issue to start. What are the temps at plnat lvl over the 12 hour cycle?

They are 65-75 degrees< night-day and my humidity is usually below 60 unless I just watered. The highest my room temp has got since this started is 77 degrees < I live in a cold state.

I hate to see it man but those plants do look badly sick. Very wierd though & i'm not 100% sure as in some pics it looks like a mould problem starting, and in other pics it looks like some sort of poisoning or toxicity. The only tips i'd maybe add is to check where ur water comes from or what its stored in (metal or wierd plastic containers, etc) or is any gases/chemicals being sprayed near groom, etc? And if i had to pin it to a regular nute problem, then the pics look mostly N toxicity i'd say. (tho alot more wierder than i'd expect to see)

I think it is something bacterial/fungal in my soil because I am not using nutes, just whats in the soil and I have been using this soil recipe for years and never had problems and it is not all my plants.

I think I figured out the problem. I think I have aphids. I took a look at my leaves with a 30x microscope and saw what I think is aphids crawling all over them. I think the reason my leaves are curling and my pistols are going black is because they are sucking all the juices out of the new growth. Anyways I thought I would let everyone know and will keep you guys updated on this.
