Please Help, having some odd discoloration issues that seem to pop up over night.

DSCF0008.jpg Here's a photo of a leaf i have 3 plants affected ph is between 5.5-6 been using GO box as per the directions and am about 6 weeks into flower.one plant got it so bad all the large older fan leaves were lost. the all get weak and come off if lightly brushed within 24hrs of leaf starting to turn.
Any help would be appreciated. I've looked at all the photos in all the treads about common plant problems and do not see any photos identical to this.

Looks like they got dry maybe? I would back off on the nutes a little and make sure to either increase or decrease watering. How often are you watering?

I water every other day or so whenever it's dry I break up the top crust to see if it's moist or not. That doesn't sound right to me. thank you for the very fast response anyway. I did try backing off the nutrients already and that's when the one plant dropped all those leaves.

sorry i tried, every other day does seem a little much. The only other thing I would suggest is nutes every other watering but it could always be a micro deficiancy

Every other day is pretty often. I water every 3 days... and thats plenty. 6 weeks into flower your going to experience leaves yellowing and dieing... from the bottom of the plant on up. Its completely normal. The plant thinks its fall. I sweep my grow room floor of dead leaves every day or so. As long as its your big fan leaves, you're fine... its probably even beneficial because it allows light to reach more interesting areas of the plant.

wait... I said that before I looked at your pic. Everything I stated above is true, but something is wrong with that leaf. My ph is always 5.9... 5.5 may be getting too low. That's my only current guess.

bishop & Prep thank you, oh yeah they're in soil in 3 gal pots. I'm wondering if it is in fact nute burn or ph I'm not sure it's definitely not the "normal" yellowing I usually experience. I'll figure it out, I am using general organics complete lineup as per their directions...

At 5.5 PH you are locking out phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and calcium. I would recommend raising your soils ph by flushing it with 2 times th amount of your pot size, so if you have a 5 gallon pot water with 10 gallons of water. When you do this it will release all the extra nutrients in the soil so that your plant will be able to absorb those nutrients.

I didn't notice you were growing in soil. Your ph should be much higher... like around 6.5. Lower ph numbers are for hydro (recirculating or drain to waste) systems.

yeaup. i find for soil you actually want the ph about as close to 7 as you can get. looks to me like a micro nute deficiency. try a healthy dumping of some organic sheep and worm casting tea. complete nutrient load with most manure teas.

Thank you so very much DS, and to you too CI, I was thinking phosphorous diff also. and that didn't really help much
when I did add p and I did mean to say my soil is fairly alkaline around 7.5 my water I feed is 5.5-6 and my run off is right around 7.
But Snowball I think you just struck a chord with me pal! I have been giving them cal/mg with every feeding as per those silly directions and I think you may be on to me me here!! I found through all my scouring one other photo that resembled my problem and it said the same thing. I've been flushing at 3x the container size since it's soil and what a tedious process that is I might add. so Im gonna let the soil dry for a couple 3 days and give em ph'd rain water and a tiny bit of jack's classic 2-2-2 (no ca/mg in it but mn it has) and see.

thx, I've read that, I don't know how many times. in the past 6 or so months, it didn't help this prob but it is handy.
I have both of those charts as well, I usually don't have many problems and I do a lot of reading before I post for help. (old school male) I'm an espoma/jack's classic user I freebase them both in the same room as my plants for the most intensive foliar feeding possible. I generally don't have many issues like I stated, but then I started using that general organics and it tells lies. for feeding weeds anyway. i've basically got that product figured out from the experience of this mistake so i'm good. btw I do use teas but they're a bit harder to freebase....

good plan, feed them 1/2 strength jacks classic (all purpose plant food? if so its 20-20-20) that will give you an npk of 10-10-10 and that is exactly what you want, 10-10-10 is what i reffer to as "half strength". any more or less than half strength just gives you slower and smaller growth. when you use half strength like i said, you will get fan leaves big enough to cover your face, they'll be bigger than your hand lol
