Hello,

I am new here..I will be needing to take a hair test for a job in about a week or two..It will be about 160 days since I've smoked...I am a female with long hair so cutting my hair isn't really an option..can someone tell me if I have a chance to pass?

Hello and welcome, I would recommend getting some golden seal root capsules and take those for the next two weeks, leading up to the test and hope for the best. I have herd up to six months ago can be seen in hair tests but I cannot remember if that's bullshit or not so someone will help out very shortly.

First while I'm sure golden seal has its benefits..
Nothing you take orally will help.

While hair tests theoretically can go back quite a while the compounds being tested for are senitive to oxygen light chlorine ...
So it's not an indefinite thing as long as your hair .

In the same way hair dye gets in your hair and "binds" store bought cleansers strip your hair.
Its very important that you follow directions. Long hair definitely will need at Least 2 packets. More if long is past shoulders.

I've passedwith this.

It is hard on your hair

It is on the pricey side .. Compared to say fake urine
But it's not a common test either

I haven't tried home remedies. Just store bought. Theoretically you could probably get away with a more readily available method

As far as likelihood of you testing positive... I would say no. After 5-6 months of new clean hair growth and degradation.. But with a livelihood at stake , might as well not risk it

But they collect the sample. Of hair isn't long enough they can take elsewhere. They just need a weight the testing is more of a whole than if it failed at specific spots

So I took the hair test yesterday I'm right at around 170 days since I last smoked. The hair technition did not cut my sample down to 1.5 inched will the lab which is quest diagnostics? I am a female with very long hai . Aside from being clean I used a shampoo and gel called freshair with no other prep. Do I have a chance at passing this thing?

Shave everything bald. Eyelashes and all. Arms, legs, hoohoo, mole hair, look for ingrown hairs (they will dig for those fuckers). Glue fake hair on from someone you know that doesn't smoke. You should be good. :hump: Good luck at Taco Bell. :bigjoint:

If you have long hair they will probably take it from the end. The detection is more at the root than on the end. I heard it stays for 6 months. There are shampoos out there that will help with your issue.

They test it from the root and the tech said the test goes back 90 days the lab will cut it down to 1.5 inches..I think I should be safe but I'm still nervous
