Please Help - Dont want to lose my plant well into flower

Guys, I am currently growing two plants in one hempy bucket.

Genetics are Indian Sativa but both the plants have turned out to be slightly different.

Plant one is one month away from finishing, and doesn't seem to have too many problems.

Plant two is 2 weeks into flower (after a 2.5 week stretch). This is the plant having some problems. And This is the genetics out of the two I care much more about. So please help me.

Here are the two plants together. Plant one was tied down so it grew parallel to the floor. Plant two grew normally (vertically) but was topped.

yeah, that is #1 of MANY problems.

Sativa's do not respond well to hempy style grows. It can work, but you have to be on top of the plants needs at all times.

Sativa's are fussy feeders!!!! Landrace Sativa's are the worst for that.

P tox, Needs Ca/Mg and looks like some pH swinging out of control range.
Mite damage? looks like it may!

Sativa's do the best in water only organic soil grows. Folks with lots of grow time under their belt can run them hydro with few problems. It all boils down to trial and error with that.

Keep notes on every run and refer to them often

I would take some clones in case it goes south. I don't really have any advice other than perhaps, since they have a while to go anyway, at least put them in a larger container so that the roots can spread further apart?

Edit: Forgot to mention that those sativa's look like they'll be a good smoke!

Dr who - Thanks for the advice mate - I wanted to try hydro with these plants to ensure they get all the nutes they needed - looks like it may have backfired.
You may be right about the PH swings - its started to get quite cold here which may be causing PH problems?
Maybe the PH is causing a Magnesium deficiency? Thats what it looks like after reading some guides on plant problems.
will try and monitor it from here on and next time I will grow these in just plain soil with some organic fertilizers added and see how it goes.

Cannabis love - I thought its not possible to take clones once the plant is in flowering? please correct me if I am wrong - if its possible to clone a flowering plant then I will definitely give it a shot. This is a very special plant.

Tone5500 - I hope thats just what it is mate - Initially even I thought it was due to N deficiency since I changed to flowering nutes - but then a whole other bunch of leaves started to turn yellow and i got a bit paranoid

It is indeed entirely possible. I've done it many times. Just put into a veg cycle for a few weeks, and then flower.

You're welcome! Cloning is very simple. The easiest way is to cut a few lower branches near the base and put them in a cup of water for a week thereabouts. When the roots start showing, plant 'em!

Cannabis Love I tried a few other ways to clone but not yours yet. So far I have had no luck, so will try with your meathod now. just gonna fill a half liter coca cola bottle with water and put a branch in it. lets see how it goes.

I also finally got a PPM meter - it arrived today. I watered them thoroughly and measured the run off PPM --- it was 1800ppm..........way too high. So I am guessing that may be the problem, salt build up and too high ppm. So I flushed them thouroughly until the run off ppm was down to 750-800. Will monitor over the next few days.

It doesn't look too bad. Are you still feeding them nitrogen, or did you cut that out?

Hi Cpappa27...Well i am using General Hydroponics 3 part solution - the label says to add .5ml / Liter of Grow solution to the mix - that is what I have been doing, so not entirely cut out the nitrogen.

Also, the pictures I posed are more than a month old - since then the problem has only gotten worse, with leaves falling all over the place. Initially I thought this may be due to low levels of nitrogen.

Still not sure if its a nitrogen def or excessive PPM in my pot

pretty much eating each other nutes repot or let it go and lose a fuck load of yeild

also bet ya the roots a compacted as fuck which adds more problems

Some strains will lose more leaves sooner into flowering then others, some done lose many at all when into flowering. I use GH 3 part Micro/Grow/Bloom and it does seem to lack if you dont use the whole line up. Some people done even use the grow at all.

To the cloning flowering plants, my current grow is from flowering clones takes longer to reveg but works.

yeah I hear you man, never again gonna grow two plants in the same pot. I would have re-potted them but didnt because I was afraid of damaging the roots since they would definitely be tangled up.

Im just gonna harvest the older of the two plants tomorrow and hopefully that should ease up the problem too a bit.

What else do you use in your line-up apart from these three? I just germinated a Pineapple Chunk (Barneys Farms) Seed that I plan to grow in a hempy bucket outdoors, wanna make sure there are as few screw-ups as possible.

The biggest issue here is not the roots or the yellow leaves it's the weak lighting and the strain not suited for indoor growing.
Next grow use hid lighting with cooltubes and an indica.

Buds I am growing this outdoors mate, besides a few overcast days here and there the sun has been shining pretty bright

Next Im gonna try growing Pineapple Chunk (barneys) outdoors in a hempy bucket. Indoors will have to wait for another 6 months or so

Those white things on your dieing leaves are not trichomes, they are mite eggs. The black things, between the webbing, is mite poo. Don't clone something w/ bugs and seriously don't clone while they are in flower. That would be very slow going. I could be wrong. You should listen to the advice of all of the other rocket surgeons, that saw your mite infestation and want you to fix your root zone or clone the little infestation magnet. Maybe the ones that didn't notice, should be listened to, because you know how well they pay attention to detail.
