Sup guys, I've been hang drying my plant in a well ventilated cardboard box for 6 days now. And her buds feels a little crisp, she even bounce back in formation when I squeeze her a bit. Only problem is the stems won't break nor snap. They just bend. And she starts to smell like
Grass too.
Temps. are usually 77°f and humidity around 55-61%
Can someone tell me what to do?
Much appreciated

leave them hanging, if you jar them up now, the stems and inner bud will spread its moistness to what you believe to be dry. I've done this plenty of times, trust me ;)

Patience. Temp & Humidity are fine.

If the stems snap you have already overdried. Hard to recover from

Invest in a cheap hygrometer (moisture meter)

When you think you are close put all your flowers in a jar, put in your moisture meter. Takes at least 6 hrs to get a good reading. Try to get everything stabilized around 65%.

It requires cracking the lid a couple times a day for a couple hours. When I start, and when I think I am dry I'm usually more like 72%, Might take 10 days to get this dialed in to 65ish

Then just seal it up with a 62 Bovida Pack, I am sold on these things, I will never final cure or store weed without them.

Good Luck !

they are probably already over dried if you are sure the bus are crispy dry. Get them in jars asap sealed fully trimmed to buds and leave it sealed until the moisture spreads to the bud. If that doesn't happen you over dried and are stuck with mediocre un cured hay unfortunately.. One of the most common beginner mistakes is to not understand the dry cure process. My downfall for the first grows I did. Never hang the plant simply trim it down to buds right off the plant and dry on a rack with a fan in the room not blowing at the buds for only like two maybe three days. Jar when slightly crispy sticky to the touch, opening the jar and removing the buds when they become moist until they are crispy outside again two to three times daily at the beginning for sometimes six hours then by week two it's down to twice a day over twenty minutes ish and by the end of week two you should be able to leave the jar closed without mold however that may take a few extra days and you will still want to be opening your jars three weeks to be sure.

it's a myth that stems need to snap. some strains do, some don't.

you definitely don't want to overdry, but underdrying then redrying is not much better. it takes time to get the hang of drying and curing.

like kermit said, you want to jar the buds when they still have some moisture left in them, but not too much. they will redistribute the remaining moisture within the bud to the crispier outer parts of the bud when jarred.

sometimes, they get a little too wet again and you have to take them out to dry some more. that's jarring while too wet.

other times, you open the jar the next day and they are still bone dry. that's jarring after they are too dry. not as easy to come back from that.

when you do it right, you will open the jar the next day and the buds will be gooey again, but not wet. then you just leave the lid off the jar for a while until the outer parts dry again. repeat in shorter intervals until the buds redistribute all that inner moisture evenly. might take a week or so.

if you're unsure, just jar up a few buds and leave the rest hanging for now. a day in the jar will tell you what you need to know.
