Ok couple easy questions for you..

Im buying a 600 watt hps/mh grow light setup , can i use it in my house ? The light is a 120/240 . And my house is on a 120 .. So can i run it ?
Wen flowering my plants , how far should i keep the 600 watt light from my plants ?
And for veg . How far should i keep my light from my plants , seedlins and then the veg phase ???

I'll answer question 1... yes it will work, fixture is usually 110/220 vac means it can be wired either...
My old house only has a 110vac drop from street, so your house must be old... anything built since maybe 1972 is on 110/220 [or 120/240 vac] if you prefer...

You can keep it as close as possible as long as it doesn't overheat your plants. I always try to keep my light no more than 1 ft from my plants. at one foot you are actually getting the lumen output the bulb is rated for. I exhaust my 600s and can keep them 4-6 inches from my plants. Google the inverse square law. I know people are going to say...it's not about lumens its about par and blah blah blah...yeah i got that. But for the purpose of this, do what you can to get your light as close as possible while keeping the plants in optimal temp range...I stay below 78 degrees at 4-6 inches but that has taken some time and money. If possible set up all of your stuff before you put plants under the light and see what is possible with your set up.
