I have opened the jar every day to give fresh air , they seemed abit damp at one stage
so i left the lid open for a day and they dried abit more so lid went back on
I opened the jar 2night and holy fuck , i got mold growing on my buds in jar
A white like fairy floss looking shit just starting on top of buds
I did take out of jar and let dry on bench
What do i do peeps ?

How wet was it when you put it into the jar? Crispy on the outside or still all around moist ?

Kinda sounds like it was a little too wet when it went in the jars. I'd do like above said cut off the affected areas and continue on with the process.

Unfortunately mold happens. You certainly don't want to be ingesting or smoking mold. There are certain varieties of fungi that could cause serious health issues if consumed including death. Toss that shit, and figure out where you made a mistake, if you did. Recently harvested an outdoor plant, which had a few nugs with the presence of mold, unfortunately it had to be trashed

dude it should be pretty damn dry by jar time. that would likely be the mistake. next time let it dry like 3-5 more days.

thanks peeps for all your comments
I chopped the bit of mold off , and all the little bits dissapeared when i took buds out of jar

The buds felt dry to the touch when they went in the jar
then just got moist from there

After you initially dry the bud for 4-6 days, jar it for at least 24-36 hours, and then it will need to be burped, but just opening the jar for a spell really needs a bit of help the first round or 2. I placed my bud into medium sized brown paper bags (about 3 ounces in each and sealed the top) folded and clipped for about 14-16 hours. gently rotating the bags once in the middle to flip the bud inside. This is a great way to slow down the "leeching" process and really help give all the garbage a chance to hitch a ride on its way out.

Then re-jar for another 24-36 hours in a dark cool spot and then check. I did mine 3 times, once for about 18 hours, then a couple of days later, another 12 hours and another couple of days later 8 hours. They have been in jars ever since and only burped a few times for about 3-4 hours at a time.

Peace and Great Cures

You are exactly right about possibly chucking it and not smoking the stuff. I had similar experience where mold did come about after a week of drying in damp weather. Each day the musty smell would get worse and worse. I said what the hell and smoked it anyways. Now I am not kidding when I say it was like having a full blown severe cold for all of that time. Headache, sneezing , dripping nose the whole deal. Looking back on it I would not do that again. In some cases people can develop severe lung infections and worse. So to the OP, think it through if you want to take the chance with moldy weed and your health.
