He states that he has no ventilation and temps around 88f, and you want him to play with the soil as a priority?! I can see your "crude sense of logic" (just kidding) I think you are wrong on this one though! Maybe you didn't see his post on the bottom of last page.

88 degress ain't shit and sure as hell isn't gonna cause his plant to do that.. That is a soil problem that is most likely cause by a ph issue, but go ahead and put a fan in there, see how much that helps.. If the way i worded that sounds like im being an asshole im not trying to be

85 on the hot side but not super critical i think its a ph issue would help to know the ph run off of the soil and the water

agreed, plants may not be happy at 88, but i had a garden in a poorly insulated building once and over the summer the temps got into the 90's most days, some days in the low 100's, and they weren't awesome, but they did survive, they were just super hairy and fluffy.... no density and the flavor sucked, but they still didn't look like this. i see all sorts of deficiencies here, and max is right IMO about the ph issue. i see at least a phosphorus and a mag lockout, possibly other nut deficiencies as well so most likely you do need to fix the soils ph.
as max stated earlier, you need to go to your local hydro store or garden center and find "Garden Lime" or "Dolomite Lime" and follow the directions on the package. this will act as a ph buffer for some time. i would also recommend flushing with plain ph adjusted water, at 1.5x the volume of the container
