Please be careful if you make your own BHO

Lol, I watched this on the local news this morning and had to laugh. Shame idiots have to make us all look bad.

999.jpgIMG_0379.jpgI don't think they were using just one can at a time. I had a BHO accident, but my shit didn't explode. I think I over packed my tube, after I started spraying for a bit the top busted off. No fire, no boom just cracked glass and I reused the buds in my new tube.

That's just a tube clog likely caused by an inconsistent texture of your plant material. If some parts of the tube are packed in tighter than other parts, or some parts of the tube are packed with finely ground material and other parts are not so finely ground, it'll do that. It's not the same thing as a BHO explosion.

BHO explosions are caused by open flame, sparks, or even static.

And yes, of course all of this is solved by doing it outside and away from anything that plugs in or anything that is metal. When will people learn...

That's about what I thought, I just take a handfulls of trim and start packing. The top of the garbage bag is all the larger stuff and all the fine stuff sinks to the bottom so it's usually a crazy mix of over packed and under packed material. The tube lasted well over 100 cans before It broke so I'm still happy with it.

Try running it all through a cuisinart food processor first. Problem will be solved and it will increase your yield if everything is a finely ground consistent texture.

It seem that with almost as many articles about BHO failure as there is success that people would think. I started making BHO about 7 years ago and some how just knew that butane (lighter fluid) and pressure and flame, or spark could lead to a Kaboom. No how is it that people miss this? I don't want to smile when I hear about it but do they know they just filled there house with lighter fluid and and it worked? I wonder if they used a lighter or if something else set it off?

With those fumes floating around all that it takes is a person to walk across the carpet and create static and boom!

I'll give it a try, I got a cuisinart and a oster a couple weeks ago as wedding presents.
I just did a test. I tried one run by packing it full of buds, another run putting it in a Cuisinart first. My yield increased by 50%.

If you're already using just trim and fluff, you probably won't get that dramatic of a result, but it should be an improvement.
