Hey RIU haven't been posting much on the last few years, but never stopped following along and hanging with all yall, old and new on RIU. Things have been well, other than this problem that arose bout 2 weeks ago and seems to slowly taking over its affected 2 plants and the other's seem unaffected I'm thinking it may be just on the edge of overfeeding.. here are some pics and a list to help diagnose

this is what my normal feeding consist of.
general organics: Bio thrive & Bio Squid 1 TBL each per gal
RHIZOFLORA : Terppinator 2 tsp per gal
Nectar For The Gods : liquid bone meal 2 tsp per gal
last few feedings i have been adding a lil molasses 1 TBL per gal to see if helps but no noticeable affect.

Growing in sandy loam amended with forest duff, rock dust, azomite, chicken shit & local bulk potting soil 1/2 yard per hole.

I think 1 of 2 things cal mag diff because i'm not supplementing any but i think the rock dust and azomite cal mag levels should cover the need.. 2nd theory is the girls are just a bit over fed i've been feeding them about every 3 days trying to give them the most they can take. Also I water lightly twice a day to keep the top layer of the sandy loam from drying out.. so what yall think my issue is?

Thanks in Advance. DAKUSHMAN

I really wouldn't read too much into it. Based on the photos AND the health of the ajoining leaves , it seems that a particular leaf has something that didn't agree with. Technically it is very HARD to have EVERY LEAF look perfect. As long as it is not a PLANT WIDE issue. Meaning multiple leaves and or sections of plant. It looks like it is outdoors , which can show leaf issues at any time and for anything. I noticed bug holes too.

Plant is bushy and of good color.

Also , re- Reading your soil amendments and feed mix , I would say that ANY + or - in the ratios you use will increase the possibility of leaf symptoms. You stated you feed 3 times a week , your plants will only uptake what it needs , nothing more. I would cut down to maybe twice a week and allow straight ( in between ) watering to " smooth " out the heavy feeding you are doing.

just throw the plant away, there is nothing you can do to save it now.

OK I'mm still having this issue, and well the yellowing is very slowly spreading upwards toward the new growth and the most lower growth and branches is starting to get deformed boltritus mold type growth at the head of the branch about 10 of the most lowest branches are affected now this is what most concerned about I'm thinking its being caused bit of root rot causing this from overfeeding/over watering.. overall the most upper growth is looking alright and green it continues to grow taller.. i've been giving my plants just water for about a week now and 24 hours of dry time and today i just fed my plants with a product called SLF-100 its a enzyme to help the overfeed by eating up some salts and speed up the breakdown of any infected roots. i plan to start to feed again in 2 more days with a light feeding.

what u guys think? is she overfed and over-watered causing a little lockout/rot>?. I'm starting to think Uncle buck may be right is it just going to continue to get sick and die?

Thanks

Are those bottom branches not getting much light? They will turn yellow and die off they aren't getting any light.

That, or it could be an iron deficiency.

So i have just been watering, i gave a heavy watering today after letting the soil dry for a few days, while i was giving them a close inspection i notested that and few branches mid way up are infected i would say maybe 20% of the branches on the plant are going this way not the top new growth but the middle and lower sections as i inspect the other plants i see i am getting pretty simaliar leaf curling and strange growth on other plants in the garden.

i herd rumor there are what there calling broad mites are in town maybe i have them. theres not much info on them here but i plan to spray with Monterrey garden incest control as a safety?

i still am on the side of thinking its a nute od i forgot to also mention i top dressed them with some composted chicken shit and some more azomite and rock-dust shit just before i started seeing these problems. a light shovel full of each was used. any chance overdose of amendments. i plan to use just water for another week

here are some pics what the fuck is going on with my ladies? its kinda a brown powdery mold and still feels firm not mushy i don't know really starting to get worried its time for flower and my girls are sick.

Thanks RIU

those are broad mites and its not to late. you can use big time exterminator and grandevo and mycontrol. i have used big time exterminator many times to get rid of them and get a good harvest too. bigtimegardens.com is where u order it.

broads or russets either way id do a sulfur spray and then start with big time exterminator a few days later you arent screwed if u act.

I narrowed it down to a bigger problem than i thought to russet mites or broad mites.

fuck guys i'm screwed i sprayed the most infected plants with some Monterrey garden insect control "spinsoid" at 1 1/2 TBL for 1 quart last night and they seem to have tripled and getting worse by the hour and infecting everywhere on all other plants. WTF these bugs are crazy. looking into sulfur and big time exterminator. online research is also recommending Diatomaceous earth and powering it on the branches and infected growth? anyone herd of this i think it may be my best bet it seems it would hurt the foliage after sitting on there for a while?

Thanks all for you help so far. I'm fearful of loosing everything.

OK OK OK im going with some hardcore sprays that are against my full organic regiment "non Organic" just to save my grow now i can not see any organic method working as fast as i need before flower hits and the level of infested I am. there swarming all over seem like almost 75% of the branches on my biggest plants are totally infected.

Any Advice on which one of these deadly products i should start this chem treatment with, both claim to kill brown and red mites. this its all i have available at the moment.

Did you see any broad mites? Look for them with at least a 30x scope. The early post pictures look like potassium deficiency. Water in or foliar some kelp and back off on any nutes.

After further review of the pictures I suggest removing some of the lower and inner branches. Start giving the outer branches support with netting or bamboo stakes. You don't want to end up with saggy, moldy ladies like you see on youtube yelling "i Want my doughnut!"

OK i couldn't help myself i broke down and gave one of my plants a 2 gallon dose of spectracide diazinon. oh god it smells like gas/2cycle oil/barf its nasty stuff but i hope it can help me get these fuckers in better check..

Jemstone: yea earlier on seems that i over fed the girls, just been giving them water for about 2 weeks now... should i get back to a light feeding?, now i think i have this bigger problem to deal with. I heavily cleaned up the inner of the plants. the one i sprayed to test i could almost stand inside the plant it is empty. i haven't actually seen a mite up close, but all the signs are there, i can almost see thousands of them on the intersection of the blades of the fan leafs giving it from what i've read called the classic rust dust buildup look and fan leafs taco'n and pistols are going brown while the unaffected healthy most top growth is just fine. the mites seemed like they started from the bottom and are going to the top. also about branch support i have all the 4x4 netting and steaks but haven't caged them in due to this problem so i can have easier access to figure this out. thanks for your response and further review.

the plan is
to get a scope and double check
see what results i get from my toxic spray..
also i have some Diatomaceous earth on the way from amazon i plan to poof it all over all the plants as soon as it gets here.
possibility try the malathion 50 on another plant to see if i get any different results

I'll post some pics soon.
